No. The thermostat goes to board on the heater/air handler which then send the signal to the heat pump/condensor. The thermostat reads temperature it is not a control board.

The thermostat does not control the contractor. The board on your heater/ air handler does. The board sends the signal to the condensor not the thermostat.

I replaced the capacitor on mine when i couldn't get someone out for a week! Managed to get a new matching spec one on Amazon for $14. Popped it on and bam, worked like a charm.

Last week, I had pulled the disconnect on a condenser I was about to clean as per usual. It shut off, I cleaned it, then put it back together and grazed the capacitor and got shocked!! So, I check the disconnect wiring and they had 1 of the line wires wired directly to the load. The other side was wired correctly. That made no damn sense.

Personally i put the cover back on or a bag over the panel. Especially heat pumps or anything with a board. Good stuff though 👏

I’ve worked in a few restaurants as a cook so I’ve seen some shit but never this an especially a fkn razor blade!! This is hella sus 🤔 I don’t buy it not one gd bit!!! My dude worked at Longhorn for a mn he made 19$ an hr makin fkn salads NO cap easiest job he’s ever had they pay there employees good so nobody in that kitchen is gonna jeopardize that easy check to pull some shit like this !! I have a good following on tiktok, and one of the comments someone says "they work in a potatoe factory and that is one of the blades" IDK the manager says they use those blades to open the bags of potatoes at the restaurant. It was a good-sized blade, though, and I feel like the cook did it on purpose . How did he not see it when scooping the potatoes to put it on the plate 🤷
