Why didn't you just use a Cisco router with multiple WIC-2AM-V2s or smth similar? Would have been much easier I think. Is it because you think is too new-ish to use in this kind of project?

I'm seriously impressed. I used archie extremely early on in my UNIX-like life on first a UNIX in 1990, and then again in the very late nineties when I got my own computer at home and hooked it up to "The Internet". I don't remember much about those days, but I had definitely seen archie servers and veronica. This can go in the kitbag along with the gopher sites still active.

I have a couple of 1990s servers that i am setting up some old 1990s style blogs and archives. and it would be incredibly cool if that be acessable over your achie project. also is it possible to access your archie project from vintage computers like a Sun Sparcstation or some old 486 computers?
