So i think the disconnect really does come from the newer approach. HSR and Genshin stories for example are more segmented into arcs Where as ZZZ story is told very whimsically but has a continuing plot structure. So the vibe of the game is that the story is not in the forefront. The characters are also toned down. In Wuwa there colors are muted. For ZZZ there designed more practical The idea is for them to not stick out in the more grounded setting. As for general reception. Its actually well received. Your community is more insulated and prone to share your own biases I would say that the content does ask a lot from its players. Only really ramping up during the latter half of Belobog Industries Its also a lot easier to summarize because a lot of the lore is very digestible and the dialogue is usually fun fluff. The marketing is funny because its a game that wants to present like coomer bait but is very reserved And also wants to pretend that it doesnt care about its narrative. But are clearly another tie into the grander Hoyoverse cosmology ZZZ has its own versions of Leylines Abyssal Corruption The 7 Void Rangers I would argue that to enjoy the game you do have to throw away the some of the ideas your used to with other Hoyo titles It would be fun to see you at the very least see Luminous Square and get a better taste for its systems But if not i think thats fine. Its better to play a game that captures you interest Like your Roblox Stream

For reference in regards to animations i try to remind myself ive been impressed by much less in Genshin by 4 star animations even 5 star animations so i cant even complain about some of the plain characters in this game.

visually this game is beautiful, i love how colorful it is but it isnt over the top. i love how the streets just feel full of life, and the cool transition into a combat state of the game. some of the characters i dont find the designs interesting but i love the red cat girl in the big coat. my only hope is that there will be some playable male characters too, but i can deal without them.

You're saying a whole bunch of nothing in this video. The Ults don't need to do "more" whatever the fuck that even means. The devs have talked at LENGTHS about not liking action games where so much happens on screen that you can barely see the enemies and their telegraphed attacks anymore. That's why the focus on this game is on impact frames like in anime.

If you don't like the lack of contrast, you can turn the filter down in settings of the game + of course the game won't look as flashy on PC + you can't be for real expecting supper long and flashy animation when the devs directly said they toned the down for better precise use of abilities
