Nizoral cured my seborric dermatitis, and using aloe shampoo bars from freetheroots and I have no more flakes, I haven’t had them since 2021. Loc brushing, it can be like you said for flakes, but most use it for distribution of oils on the locs and for getting the surface lint off your locs.

@@BornMagnificent do you believe the hair needs retwist in the beginning to train the loc? Or one could solely do the crochet method from the beginning?
@BornMagnificent3 ай бұрын
@@Ben-jt5ob I'm not an expert, but I believe locs can flourish from start to end with crochet maintenance. Especially if a person has scalp issues and needs to shampoo often.

Epistle of a comment, but loved hearing your journey and the similarities to mine. Haven't restarted my journey yet, but you're making me consider traditional locs instead of microlocs. Yours look amazing❤ I had microlocs for 4 months.. also impulsive with my hair though. I had a Mohawk, but wanted a whole head of hair so I cut them to start everything fresh. A few months later I started my microlocs on my whole head, but like you, I had to urge to be bald again so I cut them. Started another Mohawk, and then tried to start microlocs again, but my scalp was misbehaving so I combed those out. Currently 6 months into growing my sides and still haven't cut the middle so there is a bit of a length discrepancy. Might just embrace that instead of evening it out. Also currently in some box braids since I can finally grip the sides easily. I think I need a number goal. Maybe like 200-300 locs. Hopefully I can finally stay with locs like you've been able to. Scalp issues almost made me cut all my hair off again a few months ago because I also had the cornflakes, but my mom talked me out of cutting it and Nizoral shampoo solved that for me thankfully.
@BornMagnificent3 ай бұрын
Thank you for commenting. I believe that with my first set of locs, I may have been in the 200 range, but I never counted them to be sure. With this current set, I have 110. Your count with traditional locs will depend on your hair density and the size of your head. You could just embrace your current uneven hair. It may work out style was later, and if not scissors are always available.

My locs are shorter and I still have problems but to mepipe cleaners are worse and flexi rods are easier but with a different curl tho.Futhermore, if they too loose at the root they fall out for me.ive seen a few girl use actual rollers but I don’t think they are my style anymore but I might try them one day.
@BornMagnificent4 ай бұрын
How do they keep regular rollers in place? I would love to try an old school roller set on my locs. I haven't tried pipe cleaners, but my flexi rod set wouldn't quite fit under my hooded dryer. That's why I ended up with perm rods.
@ashlynprather454 ай бұрын
@@BornMagnificent ah okay… I don’t have …wait to do have a hooded dryer but I never really use it, my mom more so does but she don’t have locs. So you would roll them up like the perm rods and use the clip to hold them in place. Depending on the size of the roller and the locs you made need to use one loc per foam roller or two. If it’s the plastic big ones then you can probably put 3-4 locs per roller
