I personally feel like the jp songs are from eggmans perspective meanwhile the us songs are from sonics perspective while the jp bad future songs sound like eggman is rubbing it hes won there's literally nothing sonic can do anymore while the us songs really make you feel the "you totally messed up" vibe the situation is dire and you NEED to prevent any of this from happening
