I came from VietNam and i was working onboard with few brothers from Phillipines. He told me the same story, each contract he's back home he has to build a new house... Damn i always feels bad for him and appreciate alot because Phillipines is "A Big Shield protect the whole Asian".

To add or Replace any Parts/Items for VDR must be done by Certified VDR person as VDR is safety equipment, Not expect ship's crew to change as VDR is required to update internal config file and setting for the expiry date into the data in order to proof all data record into VDR are correct and have supporting document (Service report) as proof is any incident occur.

Just a little advice, please open hydrants cover from little bit near of hydrant not opposite of it with "fire hydrant spanner" for protection any injures. Couse it can maybe thrown by pressure inside if any. (at 3:28 minutes) Have a nice watch :)
