Please answer. Does it matter what nozzle the return line is connected to on the actual cooler?
@sstressfl10 сағат бұрын
You want to make sure you connect to the low pressure line (cold) where the trans fluid returns to the transmission. But the flow direction does not matter on the aftermarket cooler itself. I hope that helps!

I have a 2003 and 2013 dodge grand caravan and replaced the transmission pan with one with a drain plug on both of them. So every time I do an oil change, I also change out the transmission oil. You won't get everything, but over time the old is being swapped out for new oil and after several times (5-6) your transmission oil will only have old oil in the single digit percentage range. Once the percentage of new transmission oil is over 90%, you can change it at every other engine oil change. I have done this method on my 24 year old Honda Odyssey and the transmission runs like a top.
@sstressfl15 сағат бұрын
I do understand why you would so that. 50% of the old fluid is still in the tc. I would still change the filter at least on the second pan dump. When it gets filled with clutch material and metal it becomes less efficient and can lower your line pressure. That’s just me 👍 I’m glad it’s working for you.
@xyz-bz1fc14 сағат бұрын
@@sstressfl I was not clear. My bad. What I did (for my odyssey) was drain the tf then added the same amount back. At the same time added a WIX inline TF filter. (The OEM TF is buried deep in the transmission, and short of tearing it down, you can't get to it). Drive for about 50 to 100 miles. Drain again, refill, drive. Repeated this about 5 times. After 5 times of doing this, the TF fluid was bright cherry red. I replaced the wix filter, and now only need to change the TF at every oil change or every other. I noticed on the odyssey, the rpms have dropped about 200 after doing this. I am in the process of doing this process with my caravans. They are on their 2nd cycle of drain, refill, drive a bit cycle., and yes when it is done replace the filter.

My husband just changed his, but I’m still dizzy when I take the van. The only thing I can see is that he didn’t make sure the pipe was exactly round. The other thing, he used an original second hand. This means that the metal is thicker. Maybe he didn’t tighten the metal band enough 🫤
@sstressflКүн бұрын
It might be a good idea to put it back up in the air, make sure its safely supported on proper jack stands with a hydraulic jack in place as well, start it and you can feel around the pipe to see if its puffing exhaust out of the clamped areas. If it is, then it needs to be tightened :)

If it comes back - make sure you're not running on over-inflated tires. I went through two years of scratching my head with a Buick TourX. Same engine in the AWD Insignia platform. I had a persistent shudder that felt like a mis-fire under moderate load. When I reduced my tire pressure from 40psi down to 35psi ... the shudder almost completely went away (Dropping it down to the factory recommended 32psi would probably completely eliminate it). I also noticed you've got aftermarket rims and tires which may be exasperating the problem (anecdotally from having a BMW 740i in the past - I could not get rid of a vibration until I switched back to OEM wheels and tires). That grumble? You're driving in snow and ice - could it have just been a piece of broken off ice and grime that got caught between your wider aftermarkets and the plastic fender guards? Anyway - all the best. These are very nice cars for the price compared to some German and Japanese competitors.

While in there replaced the water pump as it showed signs of leakage, all spark plugs and coils. Engine is running so smooth. THANK YOU! No not at all. The new Mobile HP fluid was designed with a little extra friction modifer to help with the probems in the 8 speed. Its Dexron 6 with a boost :) But many people use the regular GM fluid (AC Delco) with no problems. The important thing is to change it and get a new filter in their. If you have a serious shudder, multiple fluid changes (3) might be needed or a professional flush. Hope that helps!

I bought a nearly new Escalade ESV that had been smoked in (probably cigars, not cigarettes.) After a complete interior deep clean including steam, ozone machine, and chemical treatments there was still a slight odor. I tried masking it with various air fresheners but the very slight odor was still there. Having used many other Chemical Guys products, I decided to try the "new car smell" spray. I applied a few mists on the carpeted surfaces and then removed the cabin air filter and applied a couple of small squirts into the HVAC system. To my surprise, the nicotine smell was completely gone! Not just masked, but GONE. I wouldn't say that this product isn't exactly a "new car smell," it's more like a new leather smell. Mostly neutral and not overpowering. It's actually the exact same fragrance as the Chemical Guys leather conditioner, which I also use. Highly recommended!

I'm also looking at a new bike because someone decided to take my bike out from under me last week (I'm fine, just bruises, super lucky and was wearing all my gear!). My eyes are on the Honda CBR650R and Triumph Daytona 660 right now. They're sporty boys but the riding position is a bit more relaxed. I don't think it'd be relaxed enough for you, though. Have you thought about getting a Street Triple? A buddy of mine has one of those and my god it looks and sounds amazing.
