OMG : my Nan and Grandad used to live here, obviously we only saw the last build before the Great Storm in the late '70s. Never realised it went out that far. Amazing footage, the arcades opposite were demolished shortly after and used as carparks. We used to go on the mystery Trail at Whitsun. Book in hand at the local shops to get clues. That was when community existed. X ❤

I came here one time and it's really cool but dangerous onboard, i boarded one and nearly fell through a crack in the floor. Do you know the names of the trawlers?

Hi I went in search of the abandoned railway coaches, couldn't quite work out where you stood to fly ? Managed to get the drone up of Healey Lane, but either the carriages have all been removed or I wasn't quite over enough.. Couldn't find any location nearby to get better visual access to see the old carriages if there still there, suspect they have all been removed now
@UKDroneAdventures
@UKDroneAdventures 2 ай бұрын
I haven’t been there for a while, you can see the coaches here on my website Google map link: www.droneadventure.co.uk/places-to-fly/healey-mills-derelict-train-lines-with-train-carriages/ I managed to walk inside as there was a gate open for a small fishing lake.

Thanks. I took off out of the Abbey and kept away from people etc, so didn't need permission. I think that England Heritage owns the site and they don't usually allow drones to take off from their sites.

Some places, the beach is erroiding, other places it's expanding. Thu it looks like sea levels are rising.

The sea has no boundaries, we are the intruders, I expect many years from now uk will be much smaller. Remember the village in Devon, Hallsend. That is in ruins now, fishing village, all gone. There is nothing anyone can do about it. Move on. The sea will take what was taken from it, it’s land. 😢

As regular visitors to Ulrome it's so sad to see how quickly the land is being taken. We watched the council demolish the little pier and sea walls and the land has gone so much quicker since 😢

It’s between 28 and 29 years since I was at Skipsea ,I used to drive down that road with statics on either side of the road, it’s all gone now on the beach side ,I am planning to return before it’s gone very soon and will be taking my drones and cameras, and looking at your footage I’m in for a massive shock when I get there.

The deep skew arch at 1:32 accomodated a small tramway which I believe went to a couple of small coal pits; on at the top and one at the bottom of the hill and which fed Pickle Bridge Dye Works (now woods and scrubland to North of viaduct). These coal pits probably are the cause of the subsidence.
