Her face is beautiful. Her voice is good. But I just wish they could have shown her nyloned feet just prior to her slipping the boots on. We should have gotten to see her feet too.

This was '68, in the '70s decade she would go on to achieve country music superstardom unlike any female prior - major crossover success that Tammy & Loretta didn't achieve.

Lynn Anderson is amazing here - what a fun performance. A different interpretation to Nancy Sinatra and just as valid. Lynn flirts with the words and her pleasure in singing is infectious.

I met Lynn Anderson at a Rodeo in Jackson, MS sometime around 1970-71. Rose Garden was a hit. She was the Rodeo Queen and I worked for WJQS Radio. RIP, sweetheart.

She became really popular and left the Welk Show after two years in the late '60s. Little did anyone know she was on the cusp of having one of the biggest hits in country music history, "Rose Garden," in just a year or two. After that, she became country music royalty. Welk Show was a great springboard, though. I'm thinking she's the only Welk Alumni to become a superstar - or even a big star outside the Welk world.

Yes, a great song by Lynn. For more Lynn fun, you can go to Lynn Anderson's Front Porch page. I'm there, she's there, along with many others. Join in on all the fun we have there. You can keep up on Lynn's latest venues and new released music. Familiar with Lynn?? well much on her Mom, Liz and her new releases as well. Even though Liz passed on last year, her music goes on.

@whatisbestinlife I was always too shy with the ladies till one night at Mid-nite Rodeo when my buddy Hud says, "Timmy, No matter how pretty they are someones tired of $@*%ing `em..." It wasn`t meant to demean, merely to liberate.
