I don't know if I'm being dull but, how is the multi cylinder use case at the end different from the single cylinder use case? Surely you always want the ability to drain to the tank when the cylinder is not being moved

If we have water and oil , the pump start to pump what first and why?

Well, the reason most of todays turbo vehicles have more breakdowns is because of failure of manufacturer proper procedures in the operating such equipped vehicles 🤔 First, turbo equipped vehicles need to be " warmed up" from a " cold" start especially If the turbo is oil cooled like on some GM vehicles. Second, after running the turbo vehicle before shutting down the vehicle allow a few minutes for the turbo to " cool" down". Third, most vehicles have the standard 5W- 30W oil designation 🤔 Well, that fine IF you live in the upper northeast, midwest or northwest of the US. But in areas that have Temp's in the 90's to 100' s plus like in the southern areas of the US that oil is too cold and the engine will suffer from the additional Heat of the turbo mode. I would suggest either the 10W-30W or 10W- 40W to protect the engine.🤔

what will happen if we are not going to prime the pump?

I imagine in most cars neutral in automatics is when the torque converter has minimal fluid in it. And or a disconnect of the forward and reverse engagement clutches for a cvt transmission

This video is excellent! I’m just getting into hydraulics and this is the most clear explanation I have seen of the operating principle of a gear pump. Does cavitation occur enough for it to be worth studying?
@hydraulicandpneumaticsyste3253Ай бұрын
Yes, cavitation occurs. At high fluid speeds (on propeller blades, for example) or when there is resistance in the suction line of pumps

This is a classic example of how not to teach. This is showing off, not teaching. There is so much wrong with this video from start to finish, it's like a gold mine of how to teach the wrong way. The bottom line is it uses continuous technical information it assumes the viewer already knows. The result is you must already know how a turbo charger works in order to understand the video. It really is just explaining why, not how.

The fluid animation doesn't show pumping, it should start with fluid on both side at the same pressure. You would still see water flow from right to left if the pump was just a tube, because there is only water on the right at t0. This just shows the internal motion of the rotors.

Probably, the throttle part was not meant in this video, since only the turbo operation is explained here :)

So, you could potentially use this in conjunction with the boiling rates of water at different pressures to change the temp needed to boil, right?
