Do you have any preferences or recommendations regarding this WW 1984 figure vs the latest artisan WB100 figure? I’ve watched many reviews on them and tried to compare. I feel like the sculpted hair could be more reliable, and I’ve heard that people love the ‘84 outfit’s vibrancy more than the WB100 one. I know people love the head sculpt likeness on the WB100 one. I figured if I chose the ‘84 one I could just buy a sword and shield off eBay for good price to add to her. Great review btw!

I can't really give a balanced recommendation since I dont have the WB100 so I'll just say I think the biggest strengths of the '84 are the new silicone body, armor color and paint app, and head/ hair sculpt. Some people think the likeness isn't great but I think it's fantastic and like you said, the sculpted hair is reliable and surprisingly versatile. So if those 3 aspects are really important to you in a figure I think the '84 WW is a safe bet!

I just got mine yesterday from Ozzie collectibles in Australia 🇦🇺 and one thing you might not notice is the pistol can reload and remove the magazine from the bottom which I find it pretty cool, the only down side I have with is the pin 🧷 on he’s ties comes off while I was doing some poses but because of how lose the ties is every time i take off the vest it attaches to the pins from the ties and fills off

This figure is a 10/10 in my opinion, I even think it's better than Inart the way Hot Toys did the cowl is more badass to me and awesome video.

I missed out on the first issue of this figure and was simply *delighted* to see it get put up for PO. I just love the comic booky-ness of this suit. It’ll be a lot of fun to pit Supers(after all SuperGirl will be coming out!) against him in the case.

what do you mean by it could of been a DX figure? What does DX mean? I received my figure last night, love it!

DX is a specific line of Hot Toys figures that are the best of the best. They usually reserve the best materials, best innovations (rolling eyeballs for example), and best packaging for these figures and usually for very popular charcters. However in recent years the DX line has started to become watered down since the quality of their regular releases (like this Batman) have increased resulting in the DX line becoming less prestigous/ valuable. I've bought 4 of these Movie Masterpiece Series (MMS 152) Christopher Reeve Superman 1/6 Scale Action figures and I also bought the 2013 Exclusive Superman Evil Version, Movie Masterpiece Series (MMS 207). These are the only Hot Toys Figures that I've collected because Im a Christopher Reeve Superman Super Fan. The latest Hot Toys figures now are in accurate in terms of height and body muscular proportion. Example the Henry Cavill Man of Steel, BVS, and Justice League Figures are too tall when in fact henry cavill is only 6'1 while Christopher Reeve is 6'4. Another reason is that Hot Toys figures now are redundant. Example the Iron man figures that were always recreated and repainted even though its still the same look in the previous releases. And the final reason is that hot toys figures now are waaaay over priced unlike before in which they are fairly and in standard prices. Its not economical to spend your money in over priced, redundant and in accurate looking figures.

fantastic review!! is the head easily removable and is it magnetic like on the deluxe rooted set?

Thanks! And yes its easy to pull out the head but tricky to put back in because of the collar. The neck peg is not megnetic but the back of the head is magentic and can be removed.

I have the 1.0 version so I'm super conflicted now. There's no die-cast in the 1.0 version, and essentially, you are getting 2 different versions of Armored Batman if you get the deluxe version...but the movie was so long ago and I am not as hyped 😂 So conflicted...

@@lancelotsnerdcorner I left it in museum pose so there’s absolutely no problem at all. Also, I think there’s not much change in shelf presence too, unless you count the base. So yeah, still conflicted for me, but anyone without the 1.0, defo go for 2.0

It's not that heavy as the armor and body is just made of plastic

Pretty pleased with my DX15, so not buying, but happy for those that missed out. I'm looking forward to seeing collectors part out their figures, so I can try another face sculpt swap, or add on some accessories. I think they missed the mark without doing any weathering on this release. That's something the previous release has over this one.

All three sku's come with the wheel...the lower costing one just has it on a black platform base though. The only difference between the DX and the Artisan is the sculpted vs rooted hair.

I will say, as much as it sucks to have to move the eyes separately...it does do away with the broken mechanism problems people have had with the PERS. That...and I'm 100% gonna be crossing his eyes at some point. It's just a thing I have to do with my rolling eyes.

Interesting about that Bruce Wayne head sculpt, I was applying a decent amount for pressure before I gave up. Seems everyone is running into this same issue trying to get it to attach..

LIKED! I'm going to need Hot Toys to issue a 2.0 on this for my movie shelf, lol. I was too young to understand the movie fully when I watched it when I was young but I've always loved the movie. Such an awesome figure and great retro review. Peace choomba!

I’m super excited for this figure. It was an instant PO for me. I went with the rooted version. His hair is just…. stunning. I need it. My gripe is the Holtzman shield accessory. As we know.. you never activate those in the desert. Unless you know.. you want to be engulfed by Shai Hulud. Hah hah

This figure is labeled as Dune 1 but it’s obviously for both. I don’t see them making one for the second movie. You’re right, he didn’t ride the worm in the first one. I think this might be a one and done kind of thing.

I actually had the same problem and all I had to do was use a different outlet and it worked. You could try using a different cable as well. Hope this helps!
