Very good, but have you had any thoughts about upgrading the default scenery with third party addons such as OrbX's 'True Earth' range of scenery and airport enhancements? It makes a massive difference to the immersive effect when operating XP11.

Sadly, the biggest downside to XP11 AND XP12 is their default scenery as you can see here. I have OrbX's True Earth addon scenery which makes a huge difference to realism of the whole thing, But anyway nice landing!

Thank you. My advice is to get them as high as you can without lowering the frame rate. I don't know which settings I used on this video. Getting the visual effects up is definitely important. Increasing anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering may also help. Best of luck, thanks for watching.

I'm so far quite pleased with X-Plane 12, seems to be a step up from X-Plane 11. It hasn't given me any troubles yet! I'm still going to be releasing some X-Plane 11 videos in the future. Thanks for watching

Not even close to realism. Why? Look how slow you fly and look at real life landing. Real life happens 5x times faster while you literally flare at super slow speed. Its either you play on 20 fps or xplane is super unrealistic. In MFS2020 everything happens way faster. I mean, in your video it looks you added some kind of slowmotion effect.

It could simply be an illusion of the wide runway. It can make an aircraft appear to be moving slowly. I do get 60 fps in most situations on X-Plane, so low frame rate isn't the issue in this case. Thanks for watching.

@@tomatosoupwooMore than once I was in a room full of levers, buttons and knobs and they were all functional. There were very little pieces of dirt on the glass and the scenery outside wasn't so uniform and geometric. When the ground got closer I could also see cars, people and traffic signs and many other little things here and there. The room was also shaking a little bit and sometimes when the sun hit the panels in front of me I could see very little white grains of dust attached to it. Do I have to continue?

As I write this, I’m on a long haul flight from Melbourne to San Francisco in a Boeing Dreamliner using XPlane 11. My experience on long haul flights, especially if I haven’t used the simulator for a long while, I get a CTD (crash to desktop) usually towards the end of the flight just as I start to descend. It seems to happen more so at night time as well, but this flight will be a mid-afternoon landing local time, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed!Just coming up to the halfway point in about 45 minutes. Another 7 hours to go yet!

@@airlinewiki- the CTD’s that I experience don’t seem to be pinned to any particular aircraft. I’ve had them with all the big jets that I use (this B787, the B747-400 plus the B737-800. Maybe it’s more to do with the OrbX addon scenery. I don’t know, but it happens less and less the more I use the simulator. That I am sure of.

Experiment! You might be able to single out a mod which is causing a ctd! You could be right with the orbx scenery. A long flight finishing at night could be provoking some sort of memory problem.

Flight completed successfully with no problems, although with a 15 hour flight meant that the fuel got very low at the end, but just about made it and with the aircraft weight being at the lower end of the weight factor, the landing speed was quite low!
