Water blows inside sides, some sides are not strait angle so they don't connect together well, have to force connection, you pay $1000 for this, you'd expect more, steer clear away from this gimmic.

DO NOT BUY PRODUCT. This product is cheaply made and cracks, warps, and shatters. Waste of money.

This is a very helpful video. I am researching the best building materials for aftermarket RV/automotive accessories. The criteria are CNC machinability, lightweight, and moisture resistance. I will try a few sheets and see if the prototypes work. Videos using your PALIGHT will be posted on my KZfaq channel: kzfaq.info/love/a7orgOVrO6yLg59z48YNxw

Are any roofing fasteners required to be installed along the vertical closure strips in between the ends of each horizontal closure strip?
@freebird1963Ай бұрын
Extending a roof line to cover a outdoor kitchen area. So assume I'd have to remove the last row of screws first to add the new panels ? Do you guys even look to answer these questions we have ?

I have this on my porch but it looks awful after the Yellow pollen and dirt that it accumulates you can’t even clean it wash yes but gunk gets in the ribs and you have to literally take the screws out to remove mildew and algae ..looked wonderful at first but after 5 years in the woods disgusting.

~ $240ish for a 673mm x 4m sheet…. From what I can see, one of the most expensive polycarbonate profiles you can buy…..

Because I live along side of a golf course, I had this installed on my patio roof last summer. It's not a year old and already has Golf ball holes in it. Cost a fortune and let us down.

In case anyone needs this: per their installation brochure: use a reverse blade (this is key!) and it recommends a blade used for plywood (which is pretty broad). I used a 60 on backwards with no chipping, some slight edge melting, could have probably used a 40-45 and been fine. I was cutting their foamed dual layer polycarbonate, not the single layer. I cut 5 stacked at once and used a 2x4 clamping them together. Good luck everyone!

If you’re going to cut multiple sheets what I did is use a laminate blade and turned it to the reverse side. Circular saw and went really slow, worked great, I cut 5 at a time. Obviously a plastic blade would be best but I couldn’t find one so reversing the saw blade worked for me.

Are screws supposed to penetrate into the purlin, or just into the closure strip? 3:40 Are 1/4" holes drilled into the closure strip? 3:22

How do you seal along the vertical closure strips with butyl tape? They are not the same height as the horizontal ones, which seems like a design error.

I felt the same way but I can say that no local contractors i contact knew about this product. I just took order of 13 of the 12 foot panes for my 26 foot wide patio. All in for the palram products i paid roughly 3k-4k and more for lumber and additional hardware. I think this is going to look fantastic but wont know about the final results until later next week.
