I mean think about it: When you see how Napier looks and hear that he did something to his son, your mind would instantly jump to "he raped and/or murdered Charlie". However, revealing that the death was an accident and showing that Napier was remorseful would go the extra lenght to show how he wasn't the monster Murphy (and by extention the player) thought he was, and justify Murphy's guilt cause he killed a man who clearly was repentful for what he did.

Those of you who are curious about the fgc and were taken aback by the comment regarding the sexism and homophobia of the fgc’s early days, I just want to say that this is no longer then general state anymore. My local scene in particular is one of the most diverse environments I find myself participating in on a regular basis.

On the other hand.... implying multiple times that the FGC is homophobic etc. which is just not true anymore, making a massive deal about Alex Valle doing 'okay' at a touranment at age 36 like he's fucking ancient when for example Daigo is 42 and still kicking ass with absolutely no end in sight (and myself being in my 30s and just getting into fighting games seriously taking offense to that implication lmao), the way you dug around the 'dirty' parts of why Sonicfox owning as hard as they do and more FGC smack talk rather than just celebrating the player, randomly taking a hard detour into Smash and downplaying its entire community then bringing up a totally random universally distressing moment with the 15-year-old and pushing weird drama that didn't need to be brought up or showcased at all, being ageist AGAIN about Mang0, like... I eventually just had to stop watching lmao. Like, nice try, but you have some maturing to do before you can really pull off a vid like this. I do genuinely appreciate the attempt, though.

Smash does have its own fanbase and whatnot. But it is simply not a typical fighting game. It is a brawler a.k.a. a different genre even though it seems similar at first. But gameplay and stuff is way different. You can see differences between Street Fighter, Tekken, Mortal Kombat, The King of Fighters, but they all have one thing in common. They are one on one games where the strategies are about spacing, when to use motion input, when to trigger combos, blocking,dodging, reversing etc. Smash has totally different gameplay mechanics that don't match the fighting game style. And on top of that, Smash is a party game. Just a party game where people are not even meant to go as deep as they would with fighting games. And yet they try. That's the mistake. Smash is a multi player party game.

I was shithead neoreactionary (angry teen) when Infinite came out. I was from a UAW family so pro Union and was a staunch anti-imperialist (again angry, clearly confused and on the wrong side) and I remember being shocked at the crassness, juvenile, fence sitting and pathetic staunch portrayal of Race in Infinite. I was fucking shocked when the Workers and Oppressed underclass uprising was made into some sick pogrom. Some tepid "both sides" SLOP. I'm a Marxist now and in revisiting Infinite it didn't much offended me anymore than it did at release- it was always that fucking ugly. And it gives such "vote blue no matter who!" slop that shitlibs peddle while the dems just use or used (pre 11/7) to use coddled language for their genocidal aims. Ken's "enlighten centrist" shtick was tired then and contemptible now. Thank you for tackling this frankly soul sick game.
