Cool! I can't wait for your next reaction to Dreamcatcher! If you are interested, DC has some of the hardest choreos out of all Girl Groups and some boy groups would have a hard time keeping up with these awesome ladies. They have some AMAZING Dance Practice videos (plus you get to hear their songs all over again...:D) and performance videos! If you do like Dance, I highly recommend their dance practice videos. The first ten seconds of 'Good Night' (the next song in the Nightmare series) is INCREDIBLY intricate and I cannot even guess how many hours they had to practice to get that down and synchronized! We know they work hard! And then, they are GOOD PEOPLE, which is even better. Good people deserve to succeed. I am so glad that you will watch (and hopefully react to) the 'This Is' series! So far, there are four 'seasons' of the series; 2020 (which actually has 8 videos), '21, '22, and '23. Normally insomnicsy releases those videos late in the year (but they also pump out SO MUCH other DC content edits, they are CRAZY! It's a labor of love though, always done with a huge heart and only the highest respect for the members). Once you start to get to know things about the members and their personalities, I think you will really fall in love with them as people. I love every one of them for their strengths and for their faults. DC is my Ult Group and I have no bias because I love all of the members equally. There is just no way for me to say 'This one is better than the rest!'. I just can't do that to any of the ladies. They are ALL my biases so that defeats the entire purpose of having one. "Chase me" was their debut, released on January 13th (a Friday), 2017. It must have been nerve-wrecking for the members, re-debuting with a genre that is not popular in Korea after Minx failed. (5 of them were Minx before.) But they already doubled their sales with this. And they stuck with the Rock/Metal vibe until today, now selling 50 times the albums than Minx did. This is the start of the Nightmare arc, which spans 6 MVs and 1 Japanese release. They are Nightmares here, and the Nightmare hunter is trying to dispel them - how that turns out is shown in the next one, Good Night. Their dance costume here is like a shortened Yukata, except wrapped right over left, something that's usually only done for the deceased. Fits well into the horror concept! Remember the ending here for when you react to Good Night!

Just be aware that "Fly High"'s music video (3rd title track) is a prequel to Chase Me to avoid any confusion. Also, their lore contains several parallel universes. Dreamcatcher have the most unique/diverse vocals in all of kpop imo, each of them has such a distinct sound and personality to their voice, and you can differentiate their voices so easily

My goats♥ I went to one oftheir concerts and they are genuinely better live than in video and also super funny. When they are just being themselves off stage they are all goofy and cute, but on stage they are true professionals.

Usually they won't hold the notes out as long as they do in the MV, because they have to do choreo too, but it's still impressive. I can't know for sure of course but I think these 7 really do think of each other as a family... I'm sure plenty of the staff too, tbh. There are two "when dreamcatcher misses" videos: one for when Handong was in China for a competition show and got stuck there for a year because of covid, and one just recently for Siyeon who is on hiatus as of about a month ago for health reasons... But maybe that's for later once you know them better haha My recommendation is "their entire discography" but beyond that I will recommend specifically their radio show performance of "Propose" from May 25 2023 - it's one of my favorite B-sides

There is a spoiler for Maison which is obvious if you want to fast forward that part.

I love that one of the first things people usually comment on after seeing them live is how much it seems like they care about each other and how much fun they have. They really are some of the most genuine people I've ever seen in the public eye. Their love for each other and their fans bleeds into everything they do and it's infectious. I always like to recommend their self-made music video for "Sahara" as an introduction to what actual goofballs they are off stage. The only downside is that Handong isn't in it (she was in China when the pandemic hit and couldn't get back to Korea for almost a year), but that's okay because there's always the "Poison Love" self-made, where the members made sure Handong took front and centre
