As a crypto miner I do a lot of different types of crypto mining CPU, GPU, and even hard drive. I’m starting to get into ASIC mining too. But I’m a home crypto mining that originally just love the computers and tech in general which means when I first started I had some hardware already laying around that I started mining with. Some of the pieces of hardware I had was a 2018 Mac mini and a 2020 Intel MacBook Air. I also had a iMac, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro all from 2010 but I didn’t really consider those much because of how old they are in the fact that the batteries stopped and they would literally overheat when they’re just charging in general. but now I’m considering doing that with just the iMac mainly because of the bigger body and just in general better cooling system and the fact that it’s plugged into the wall 24/7 already. But I don’t know how well it would work with the XMRIG due to the fact that it’s like I said it’s an old operating system. But all of these Macs I have are maxed out basically like to have the highest chip or most expensive option when I first bought it. Also the Mac mini I definitely don’t really care about because I got that for free after decommissioning a site out in my line of work I did have to like jailbreak and reset it but it works perfectly fine. I did also try mining with my new 2023 M3 Max 40 core GPU with 128GB of ram but I don’t have it on 24 seven but instead I’m not because I do want to keep the MacBook alive if you know what I mean and not too much stressed because I’m planning to use it for another 10-15 years judging by the fact I dropped 6 grand on it. But in 2024 you can’t really mine ETH at all so I just mine Monero but at the same time I also recently switched to Monero Ocean so I’m actually my name different types of coins. But like I said I do all different types of mining which means I do have a lot of different hardware is other than just Macs or Apple products, like for example I do have many dedicated GPU mining rigs and dedicated windows computers that also are dedicated mining rigs. But at the end of the day everybody is capable of making their own decision and it’s definitely not for everybody.😅😊

I think I'm gonna stop uploading too. Their search engine in the website no longer works properly. I relied on it to look for unsaturated niches by searching what I'm inspired to create, but since AI has been intergrated to the search engine it has gotten tough to see which niches are saturated and which aren't.

I've been trying to use ChatGPT, MAKE, Google Sheets and a Wordpress setup to generate page and post content. I get it going ok, but then get some hangups that stop the process, usually around 7-8 process fine, then things stop. If you could do something like that for a challenge, I would love to see that. My hope is to eventually use AI personas to create their own kind of comical content, each with their own quirks. But just getting it working consistently would be a huge step.

I've been with RB for many years, but rather passively - don't upload very often and hence only earn about $100/year, if I'm lucky. Set up a 2nd account recently, with the intent of having a more focused approach - uploaded 8 initial designs. Was put straight onto their Premium Tier without question.

Unfortunately Etsy has declined, too. A lot of designs are stolen from there or dropshipping wares are sold as if it’s a small business but you find the same thing on amazon for way cheaper. Sometimes it’s really hard to tell what’s the ripoff and what isn’t. I haven’t used Etsy as a seller but from what I’ve seen their fees have become quite high, too, and they don’t care much about their sellers, either.

I had started Redbubble a while ago with very few designs and found the percentage they were taking too high already (before 2023) and also realised that many of their products are very low quality. I started learning more about sustainability and realised that I don’t want to support them anymore and then, what what was the final straw for me, was when I participated in a thing that was a collab with an animated series I was not only excluded but also got a warning when I forgot to put the logo of the series on one of the designs I uploaded. I contacted them and tried to correct that (mistakes happen!) but they didn’t even answer and just stated that if I try uploading for that project again my whole account will be closed down. That made me realise they don’t care about the designers at all!

Thanks for your video. I recently removed all my designs and closed two of my stores after they downgraded me. The fees being taken each month was ridiculous and upsetting. It's a complete cash grab from them and I'm personally looking forward to the class action lawsuit that's inevitable. As far as Etsy their bot is notorious for suspending/closing stores, contact support is practically non-existent, and their fees are ridiculous as well. They are also quick to refund customers even when it's clear the customer is scamming. I recently heard they have begun closing more shops because of items not following their handmade policy. So proceed with caution. I'm currently in search for a marketplace that has true respect for artists/ graphic designers.

It makes no sense that the owners of Redbubble want to systematically destroy the company. We can only guess what is happening within the management. The tier system seems unfair. But after the introduction of the Tier system, my profit increased by 100% even though I am classified in the Standard category. I have been out of work for 4 years and lived only on Redbubble sales. In the last few months, my RB earnings exceeded 1500 euros. For comparison, the average salary in the country where I live is half of that (it is within the European Union). That's why RB was great for me. But everything that has a beginning must have an end. The latest Redbubble policy is the introduction of verification through the Stripe platform. Stripe is a dubious establishment that does not have a clear policy related to GDPR. I don't want to give Stripe my personal information, my IBAN number, my ID picture, my private address and house number and so on. Redbubble states that it's all due to taxes, which again makes no sense. In my opinion it's all about money and control. They want to reduce the number of fake profiles, they want to reduce the number of AI designs, they want to reduce the number of copyright infringements, they want to sell your data to third parties, and they want to keep the money of all those who don't register with Stripe, whether they don't want to or can't. I personally cannot register on Stripe because I do not have a valid IBAN number. My bank account was frozen in 2020 when I lost my job and stopped paying my car loan. And now I can't open a Stripe account and for that reason Redbubble will take my June earnings, 99% sure. And what is the strangest of all, this is the month when my earnings are record high, over 2300 euros so far, and it's not even the end of the month yet. I don't even have to tell you how I feel about it. Kind of like getting fired from the best job I ever had, or having a loved one die. I haven't slept properly for a week and I don't know what to do next.
