I work in hospitality in Australia, I have always been on Basils side, especially when It comes to bratty kids and idiot mothers

I've heard it said that Fawlty Towers is at its best when Basil has the makings of a point - when he meets people as rude as him. The 'Communication Problems' episode with Mrs Richards is a case in point; so too, I suggest, is this scene.

I saw 1981 Heavy Metal in the Cinema, it was absolut cool and the Soundtracks was a part always in my live... what can I say, back to earth, no on earth I'm nobody but here I'm DEN!

This chapter was like a epic dream sequence where you're not sure how you got there, who you are and why but you just know your role is something important and meaningful, sense of power and heroism, almost intoxicating. Soundtrack definitely amplifies it all.

I was just reading what Tony Page said about this scene he got paid 90 pounds and the elbow to the head at the end was meant to be a slap to the back of his head but he kept ducking knowing it was coming, so John Cleese improvised the looking at his watch elbow to the side of his head which he wasn't expecting that's why he shows genuine surprise when he is struck .

And to think, they cut most of this and replaced it with Don Felder. Don't get me wrong, i liked Don Felder's solo stuff, but wrong place wrong time.

John Cleese said of Donald Sinclair that his attitude seemed to be 'this hotel would run so much better if we weren't constantly bothered by the guests' Well, I worked in the London theatres for nearly two years and ........ yep, I whole heartedly agree! All people ever did was moan or complain or ask for ridiculous things. No joke, one woman complained because her ice cream was too cold! Basil has my sympathy. He was an arsehole, but I totally understand why!

This sequence literally put Disney to shame . Ive always loved watching this and its not because of the nudity . It's beautifully done . Disney practically gave up on quality animation when HEAVY METAL was theatrically released .

Taarna is just herself before she enters the water..after the cleansing waters. She slowly ascends the stairs to don her armor. Then the oath and the sword appears. She takes the sword and now she is now Taarak the Defender. The music is incredible paced slow at first then increasing until the end.
