Great job 👏. Although with this technique even though you do both sides, there that fine line where the blinds over lap. Leaving a line still that gets missed. I still have to lay it flat & go over individually to remove that over lapped line. Takes forever! Does yours still have that over flapped line?

That’s a good question. I actually go over how to make sure that thin line of dirt on the edge of each slat gets cleaned, right around the 6 minute mark in the video. 🤙🏽

Hello, I know this is an old video however, I'm having a problem getting down and putting back up Levolor Blinds. I need to wash them hanging. I'm trying to find a quick way to do this and inside the home. It's very difficult because of the lack of a hard surface. Any suggestions? They also got stuck together and paint came off. How can I fix this for the customer?

Not only is that wasteful and terrible for the environment, if your blinds cost less than cleaning them, they are junk blinds.

Hope this helps someone. I take it outside and hang it up someway like this guy did and spray 'scrubbing bubbles' on it and after about 3 minutes I spray it off. Then get a 3" to 4" PVC pipe and cut it to length you want and glue and cap one end - stick your blind in there and fill it with bleach and water and lean it up against something for 24 hrs, take it out and rinse. My blinds are white though and not colored.
@DennisOnMaui Жыл бұрын
That might get your blinds clean, but you’ll ruin them in the process using such harsh chemicals. Total overkill. You also probably took several years off the life of those blinds you washed with that method. Plus you wasted a lot of money using bathroom cleaner when a simple degreaser will do. For better results, use car wash/wax solution.
@donutdude6258 Жыл бұрын
@@DennisOnMaui ive been doing this the same way to the same blinds for almost 20 yrs and they look like new. Thanks for the advise.
@DennisOnMaui Жыл бұрын
@@donutdude6258 Wow! 20 years! You wasted a lot of money on overkill and doing it the hard way. But, you do you brother. My 30 years of professional blind cleaning experience suggest that people don’t use Scrubbing Bubbles or bleach on their blinds. Diluted Simple Green, 409 or any commercial grade cleaner degreaser will do the trick. Automotive wash/wax solution works the best, because it leaves a nice finish. The main thing is to rinse them thoroughly..
@DennisOnMaui Жыл бұрын
@@donutdude6258 Also, I can wash about ten blinds an hour with my method. Your method sounds like it takes a full 24 hours for just one? 🤷🏻♂️

@DennisOnMaui3 жыл бұрын
Depends on the weather. But, as long as the water has stopped dripping, you can probably hang them back in the window after about 20 minutes. Just be sure to separate the vanes so that they don’t stick together when they dry. Might need to come by with a rag to wipe the sill after several minutes.
