Pihtija is basically pork and vegetables in aspic (a savoury jelly), eaten as a starter. I never liked it myself as I’ve never liked eating certain meats (I’m not vegetarian per se; only eat chicken and fish) and I too never found the thought of a cold savoury jelly very appealing to eat either. Definitely an acquired taste type of dish imo. Good analogy comparing it with the concept of liking/disliking marmite!

Veracruz was off limits to Military Personnel back in the 1972-73 time frame. Was considered dangerous. Back then the Panamanian police could not be trusted, I had good and bad experiences with them> I hope its changed since then. Panama City was alittle better.

Thieves are less inclined to steal iPhones than androids because they are much more locked down, making it basically impossible to try make any money off of it, because once stolen they become useless bricks of metal. I've been robbed twice in Colombia and the one thing they never took off me was my iPhone.

The TransMilenio lines are very dangerous after service stops for the night. Thieves will use the empty bus lanes and bridges for a quick approach and escape. I'm sorry to hear you got mugged and I appreciate you sharing your experience ❤️

I think the girl with you was also involved in robbery and called the robbers seeing u with phone and no people around so that they can rob you. She also gave her phone to them i think so that u don’t doubt on her and she might have gotten her commision and her phone back later on. Never trust anyone.

@@spacepapi3703 I think there are even more spots that are relatively safe. Like they say "no das papaya" and take care of the "viaje millonario" and the girls. There are a lot of bandidas. I don't live in Bogotá, I'm located in a small town north of Cali. It's even safer than my German home town. So I don't want to frighten anybody. So far, I never made a bad experience in this country. Enjoy

Actually you have a lot of nasty crime happening to foreigners in Thailand. Murderers, robbery and assault. Not only they avoid to report it on the newspaper but also these newspapers are not in English or Spanish, so you simply don't know.

@@BIRMZE Millonarios are my favorite team globally at this point. Been to Bogota 4 times in the last 3 years and I always try to get to at least a couple of matches. Still have a video of me giving them (Santa Fe fans) the bird during that game lol. Not sure if you keep up with the league, but on Saturday Santa Fe lost a heartbreaker in the Finals which was played in that same stadium (El Campin). Game went to penalties. All Millonarios fans were pleased with that result! haha. Bucaramanga won their first ever league title when their keeper saved the final Santa Fe penalty. As for the World Cup, I have no faith in Canada, whatever happens in Copa America is probably gonna be even worse in the World Cup for them haha. Stay safe and happy travels mate!
