Thank you for the concise review. Is the shoe stable in the heel area? I hate to run in a shoe which feels overly unstable in heel. Saucony Triumph 20, Puma Velocity Nitro 2 not quite stable enough in heel for me. On Running shoes generally are, as are Mizuno Wave Rider.

White version is so much nicer color wise. But yes I agree with you on all points. I have 100 plus miles in my first pair and they really do work well on a ton of different terrain. Best LS shoe to date IMO, I’ve tried all their past popular models, this is by fair more approachable for us “mortals”. I’m a 44 in most LS, and that’s what I run in with these. Can even wear toe socks which is a huge bonus!

I moved from Hoka to this shoe. After trying the SG 6 I knew I had to find something different given how stiff those were, and the fit was still trash. Just make the SG Evo... Anyways, I love the fit of this shoe and it's beyond secure with the lacing system. Very accommodating in the forefoot with a great lockdown. About the colors, it is a trail shoe and will get dirty. I'm glad they are not looking like a Flamingo on my foot (looking at you Hoka) and the colors are a welcome change. I don't love black but it's better than white in a trail shoe. Just need some profilm in the shoe and a 6mm drop in the next model, but this is amazing from Salomon at $150.

Yea definitely a surprise shoe and I think a lot of runners that the SG 6 didn’t work for are gonna find themselves in a pair of these.
