I decided to reinstall arma 3 after watching this. Did all the tutorials and trainings and I felt ready. I was immediately spawned with no clear goal and a slightly stacked inventory that I did not even know how to use (like the chemlight). I wandered a bit till I discovered the buy menu but until I do something, I was spawncamped with an RPG. After I decided to buy a hunter and drive towards the objective in a slight offroad manner and still I was just called an idiot. I hate a game that doesn't tell me how to play multiplayer while everyone's hating me for not knowing it. It it actually better to play league

your problem is jumping into a game mode that youre unfamiliar with. each game mode is modded has a varying amount of quality and guidance. you have to do a little bit of orientation for every game mode you try what you did here is like jumping into a random modded minecraft server.

@@nannertime Well that was an official warlords bohemia server so the modding doesn't really go well as a point here. It's more or less maybe me being required to read instead of play. That proves a bit overwhelming, and I am a DCS player.

Wonder if i did something wrong... I used to have constant 60fps in menu... I have a 144hz monitor... I set the refresh rate to 144 and saved (in the config) and some of the other steps... But now i'm getting 220-230fps in menu... I mean... Not gonna complain of course... Just hope this means i wont eventually get super low fps just because of there being like 30 npcs or whatever... I hope i can play antistasi without having like 30fps...

I have another question, Can I user the same steam account for dedicaded server and play on this server? I did the serve, but when I try to login, show battleye error. And, if I need two different steam accounts, the two accounts must have the Arma 3 purchased?

You can use the same steam account for both at the same time. AFAIK If you use 2 separate accounts, you don't need to purchase Arma 3 on both accounts.

Yes. Just know that everyone gets 30 FPS. Perfectly normal. Ask your CPU if you're allowed to play

Yes. its needed to update the server and steam mods. otherwise you have to do it manually. you can create a second steam account

Just dont drop the weapons. You wont pick thrm back up. My buddies end up dropping a weapon on accident trying to backpack it snd then they are weaponless.

No. Most VPNs will not work. The VPN must allow you to Port Forward them. AirVPN is a VPN that lets your port forward. You would have to Port Forward twice in this configuration and understand how the two layers of networks work with each other.

Do i have to run steamcmd for this to work. Got everything setup but when i click play in faster it opens my instance of arma so i cant play while its running

No. You need to change your faster settings and set the arma3_server.exe as your server file instead of Arma3_x64.exe.

You can do all of those in Arma 3. Just know it's take a few minutes to figure out where find what you're looking for in this 10 year old sandbox game

Just bought this game on steam after playing tons of milsim and realism focused shooters. Fuck I’m overwhelmed like crazy with this. Trying to get the key binds for the 4 different types of aiming and toggling optics. Seems fun and feels great base without mods but damn.
