Forgiveness is a gift. The principle of receiving is a gift from God. We were created in the womb by God. We were born heirs of God, rich beyond human achievement. Human nature is to get, to gain, to possess, while relying on our own wit and skill. God posseses us. Jacob wrestled with God and was disciplined and broken by God so that Jacob would not rely on his reasoning, but on the Spirit of God. Life "in Christ " gives us multiple chances to learn that we are nothing without God.
