I think most of the Fuji GF Lenses are much to big and heavy, fx the GF 110mm 2.0 at 1010g ! I had the excellent Zeiss Planar 110mm 2.0 T* for my analogue Hasselblad 2000 FC which is 6x6 cm (actually 55x55mm) images on the film, but that only weighs 750g though the image circle is 78mm in diameter, the Fuji only have an image circle of 55mm, so I am not at all impressed with the Fuji GF Lenses size and weight. The GF 50mm 3.5 is "small", but with a low maximum aperture.

Love the flippy screen. I don’t understand what the fuss is about. I find the one that only tilts up and down almost useless.

Hello, I know that the video is a bit old, but I just got an X-Pro2 + a strobe and I am looking for some advice. Your series is one of the few about X-Pro2 & off-camera flash techniques. May I ask you which flashes you used? it looks like it was 2 flashes attached on the top of each other. Is it correct? Thanks, fabio

Hello John. Having been a photographer for about 12 years now, I recently moved to Fujifilm and have been struggling to get my Raw images where I want them. This was absolutely the best video I've seen with regard to this topic and incredibly educational for any photographer. Thank you!

The xf200 is optical perfection, and as usual that comes at a price ! Carrying this lens around on hikes is no fun! It is insanely heavy, and more so compactly heavy… dense… carrying it around is really tough. I choose the 100-400, and for the past years more so the 150-600. Neither of these of course come close to the optical quality or the ability to render smooth bokeh, as this beautiful beast…

I've been investigating Natural Live View which brought me to this video. First, nicely done. It's very detailed and clearly explained. I have a question. Do I need to modify this procedure when shooting in black and white since Natural Live View retains some of the simulation information there? Or, does modifying the highlights/shadows setting as you explained take care of that issue?

Great video I've used Fujifilm since the X-E1 and didn't really pay any attention to this whole area. Great series to explain it. By the way have you updated your presets for the XH2 and XT5 cameras? 😁

Would you consider af of xt5 drasticly better than xt4 or just as incremental improvement?

At this point I'm more interested if they crippled the autofocus or not? because if the AF is not up to par I don't see any reason why to not go to the XH line

This was incredibly helpful, thank you so much! I really appreciate you running through how to shoot in different situations and explaining why one feature may work better for a person over another. I also really like your style of conversation - it's casual, informative and not overwhelming. Looking forward to watching some of your other videos!

Why cannot fuji update their FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO software to be compatible with X-T1 cameras? It would be a great addition to us owners of this little gem to manipulate and edit our own recipes. The camera has its own raw converter so why should it not work when connected with the software?

It’s refreshing to hear a professional’s perspective on photographic comparisons that are ubiquitous throughout KZfaq. My first camera was a Nikon FE2 with two Nikon Series E 50mm and 105mm lenses. Later, I added a Sigma 100-300mm telephoto. I shot with this system for 25 years! It never occurred to me to ‘upgrade’ my camera or lenses. My skills today using a digital system are all based on the composition, lighting, and balance that are essential for any photograph regardless of the brand or sensor size.

Good points about the perspective. Many people don't really go into that or explain the issues well. Just things to keep in mind with a wide lens like this.

Hi mate, I don’t know if you’ve ever used the Tamron 15-30 lens from Nikon which is a G to one and I really love that lens but I’ve shifted over to Fuji film and really enjoying the Fuji film system and I wanted a replica lens of that particular lens and I’m wondering how that would compare if you happen to have use that lens ever but this lens looks amazing and I already have the filters so that’s not an issue arm and I’m just wondering if you’re still using this lens today, because this review was a fair while ago and yes, I’m a professional landscaper photographer 😊

The X-T3 is noticeably desaturated, but the T4 and T2 are the same, except for the warmth. I think maybe cooling the T4 very slightly will turn those pinks more purple and take the orange out of the yellows, as well as making the whites white again. Camera manufacturers do this often. They add stylised tint to the image for the trends at the time. Leica shooters have noticed it between the M10 and M11 also. Typically warm green is the colour negative look and cool magenta is the colour positive look.

The problem with the grain effect is that it adds grain to the highlights. That is not true with film.

Well, that was an extensive explanation. I am a Fuji shooter so glad to have finally found you. I appreciate all your time and work and knowledge that you are sharing . Crazy, but my Fuji XT four does not give me the option of only raw. Maybe I haven’t updated the software? I’ve been playing around with blend mode and wanted my final blended image to be a raw file- currently it is only a jpeg. I was hoping I could work around it and just shoot only raw but again not offered.!? If you happen to read this and have an answer would be happy to hear. Thanks again.

I just ran I to your vid because KZfaq threw the algo at me. You definitely have a good camera presence. Youre lighting could use some tweaking though. I wasn't particularly interested in the background either. Hope you find this a constructive feedback, don't mean anything bad about it. Overall, very informative and again, your camera presence is on point!

I must say, a very impressive video. Is great to see such in depth assessment for fuji cameras than any other brands (i looked for nikon) Now i have a question on the dynamic range settings. Say in a situation I can't increase my iso if my scene demands it (example in your photo i don't want to blur waves), aperture already set at f11 for required depth of field; now if I have an option to shoot at ISO 640 while preserving highlights and still correctly exposing the shot. Then it does help even in shooting even raw. Your thoughts...
