'Into the Void' was the only song on Psycho Circus the entire original band played-on. It's a kick-ass albeit underrated tune from the dysfunctional post-reunion days before the original band split for good.

I want Ace to “cover” this song on his next Origins Album, I don’t know if it’ll be as good as the Psycho Circus version, but I would love to hear him record all his songs just to see what he’d sound like without KISS’ crap thrown into it. I love KISS but I love Ace times 90

Bill Holmes that’s a pretty good drive, but I know what ya mean. I drove from Pa to Atlanta in Feb 2003 to see the Satellites reunion with Keith Christopher and David Michaelson playing. Think Joey Huffman played keys on some of the songs too. Two nights in a row. Was totally worth the drive.

7777Scion as a an Ace Frehely fan, its difficult to see that Ace has not fully blessed Tommy and passed on the torch...Ace is only living off his name nowadays..Tommy has by far exceeded anyones expectations through hard work and discipline...
@petera.michaelsen46575 жыл бұрын
Tommy thought Ace songs he didn't play in over 20 years like 100,000 Years and Do You Love Me, Ace still kicks ass; Ace is not living off his name, he releases brand new music and tours; Kiss is the band that is living off it's name. Ace is in the highest part of his career by touring all over the world.

but Dick Wagner says he played the lead on Destroyer.
@7777Scion6 жыл бұрын
Wagner played an alternate solo on "Sweet Pain" (much inferior to Ace's - now available on the "Destroyer Ressurrected" CD) - and acoustic guitar on "Beth" - he may have added some fills to "Flaming Youth" but that is Ace's solo on the released track.
@markr.devereux27134 жыл бұрын
Dick Wagner worked out the studio version solo and a thing of beauty it proved to be. Its spacey bending in and out etc. Futuristic is how I would describe it. Apparently ACE failed to attend some of the recording sessions.
@andreamaltauro3 жыл бұрын
@@7777Scion let's not say useless nonsense !!! The solo on Flaming Youth is all and only by Dick Wagner !!!
@FlyingIcemanVX2 жыл бұрын
@James Lyfolly or just about any other interview or book documenting the recording of DESTROYER.... you are right, Sweet Pain and Beth were the only songs Wagner played on
@Kallefatides Жыл бұрын
@@andreamaltauroI’ve heard many stories about who played the lead in Flaming Youth. To be honest, I don’t believe for a second that Dick Wagner plays the main solo. They said he did some overdubs on the song and I think those parts are played at the beginning and the small solo part at the end. If you compare the tone and touch on those parts to Sweet Pain, which we all know he played on, it really sounds like Wagner. However, if you compare the middle solo to other lead parts in tracks like Shout it out loud and Detroit rock city you can clearly hear that it’s the same guitarplayer, namely Ace. It has his tone, his timing and melodic phrasing. Plus, Dick Wagner said that he never tried to imitate Ace. So in conclusion, I would be beyond shock if it wasn’t Ace. Not that I would care if it wasn’t Ace, but because it doesn’t sound like Wagner in the least.

Kills me that doesn't get all the vocals in, I wonder if this is due to carelessness, age, or trying to avoid copyright infringement.
@thekid9152 Жыл бұрын
That was a bad memory in Kisstory for him, I don’t blame him for butchering the vocals but the guitar playing is still as amazing as it was in 98. He can still belt it out and hit notes 4 nights a week and he doesn’t need backing tracks unlike Paul Stanley
