@JeffRoberts-KMZKM-Restoration Жыл бұрын
You mean the seats for the bearing, you have to heat the outside of the wheel housing, and tap them out. Dead easy to do, but try not to damages the sidewalls as you tap them out. When you refit some new bearing, put them in a plastic bag and put them in your freezer over night, then before you drop them in, reheat the outer casing around the opening so it expands. And the bearing will go in a lot easier, with a bit of tapping using a socket of the same diameter. Good luck.

Hi Jack sorry for long relay in getting back to you, but life got in the ways here. Yes I notice that the coil didnt fit inside the cover after I fitted the electronic ignition. So I fitted an external coil with two HT lead that crew in - which works really well. Also as for setting the electronic ignition, the way I do it, is I set TDC on the compression stroke in one of the cylinders, and I turn the electonic ignition counter clockwise untill the red light goes out, then I very slowly turn it clockwise till it just cone on. Then I tighten the bolts. Later when the bike is all running ok, I check the timing again - just to tweak it so to speak. Hope this helps. Cheers Jeff

The way I understand it. Is that the the foot pedal to engage the gears, you are also engages a actuaptor on the lower section of the clutch arm. If you look at your clutch arm and change gear, you can see theres a lower rod that slide in and out slitely. This coupled with the clutch leaver enables you to change gear. I hope that makes sense. You have drawn a line through the led on the casing and then also have drawn aline on the rotor. How did you work this out and at what positon should the engine be at? I don't have a TDC inspection hole in the engine case on mine so getting TDC or BTDC is tricky but if i can understand what you did, I'm sure it will help. Thanks if you are able to reply. Cheers

I just installed mine for k750. According to instractions: after you install hardware, connect power. Set ur cylinder position to top most possition. On k750 ull need to take off cylinder head(8 bolts 30Nm or 20lbs of torque to tighten back, be careful!) Rotate module( central round part) until red LED light turns ON. Then rotate counterclockwise untill it barely turns off. For dneprs and urals its clockwise rotation. Tighten the modual. And assamble all back. Start the bike. Let it worm up. Adjust the sensor ( outside modual with black cover up to +/-10 degrees) for optimal idle. Be sure ur carbs and valves are adjusted to spec. Before you do this. Check spark plugs for gap of 7-8mm. Check module gap and sensor ( so they dont rub on eachother) replace sparkplug wires and ignition coil as well for optimum performance with sovek parts ( russian :совек)

Good V55/5 filling in process, BUT your website shows your sidecar on the right, this is illegal in the UK. Your first UK registration is after Aug1st 1981 so the sidecar MUST go on the left. Also it will risk your insurance being invalid. Please can you warn others that for them to stay legal they must fit the sidecar on the left!
@JeffRoberts-KMZKM-Restoration3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I know that's why I changed it over to the left side. I have mentioned in many times on my Facebook page as well, but even though they know its illegal them still keep on the right side. @@JeffRoberts-KMZKM-Restoration Jeff, thanks for the update, much appreciated. Sadly many clerks at insurance brokers do not know the sidecar law, tough yet understandable. It is when the insurance company investigator investigates a claim relating to an accident where maybe a person has died then the side of the sidecar may come into question and thus if the insurance is valid on an outfit not meeting UK law. I have only had one call from a police accident investigator (Got my details from DVLA) who was investigating an accident with a Jupiter and RH chair, that was legal as it turned out. How would you seal the openings which became exposed after you removed original generator mount. And also how would you secure the 12 v adaptor for the generator
@JeffRoberts-KMZKM-Restoration3 жыл бұрын
Hi Victor. after I removed the 6 volt support, I then had to get the adapter to fit. The guy from Vostock Motorcycle said the adapter fits stright in - but it doesn't, so you have a file it down a bit to get it to go in. But one I got the adpator to fit, I had to mark the holes and drill through the casing. Once I was happy I had it set right, and then used BJ weld to set it all in place. The prablem I had, once you fit the gearing to the alternator, and then fit it in place, you cannot tell it you have got a set perfect, untill you run the engine and then check the gearing to see if it is alined ok. I also used a paper gasket to fit on the alternator to seal it with the engine case. However, having said all that above, I wouldnt do this convertion again - as it's not worth the hassle. I wish I had just got a 6volt conversion that as 12 volt within it. You can get a hold of them, you just after look on the internet or post something on facebook forum and ask if anyone as done it. I hope this help. cheers Jeff

@@TreadTalk247 So I would say, if your car runs on 6 volt via a pully and you are happy with that.
