Why were the entire assets including ibrox stadium and auchenhowie training facility sold for a rmeagre £5.5 million pounds ? I would have thought that the steel girders around the stadium alone would be worth at least £10 million in scrap value ... Something smells a bit iffy there ..bit of a rancid pong ,still lingering to this day in 2024 !

Being a Celtic fan and in the past shouting abuse at Fernando from my sofa, his story touched me deeply and I still look back at his achievements in affection. "Rabbit in the headlights" But a saddened outcome for an exceptional warrior, truly sad day when he passed, never forgotten mate.😢

There was a very similar football stadium disaster in the Soviet Union early 1980’s, 66 Spartak Moscow fans died on a stairway. In typical soviet fashion the disaster barely got a mention in their media following this incident, and what was reported was a vague reference to casualties and certainly no mention of fatalities.

Ibrox experienced a series of accidents on Stairway 13 including September 1961 when there were 70 people injured and two deaths, September 1967 when 11 people were taken to hospital, and January 1969 when 29 people were injured. A tragedy that health and safety in those days played second fiddle to gate receipts.
