Excellent video The idea of taking a bicycle break and repurposing it as a parking brake on a Cyclekart is exactly what I am doing on my project. Your use of a existing handle is quite inspired. I am going to copy it. Thank you for your guidance. Dan de Angeli.

@bedfordpump yes, life, holidays, and other stuff, just seems to have got in the way for the last few months, I'm still doing things, but most of it was either repeats of what I've done before, or not relevant to the channel. The coffee table is nearing completion , and there are a couple of other projects slowly coming along, so hopefully I will be putting up videos in the near future, when I can bring things up to date.

Hi there, I'm having trouble to dismantle the off-center brass weight of my DTS400 EQ. The screw doesn't loosen when I turn it leftwise. It turns, but underneath the (I think) commutator turns with it. Probably I'll have to dismantle the other side, so I will be able to hold the commutator, which is the axe in fact.

My DTS400 EQ suddenly slowed down and stopped working. I am trying to repair it but can't loosen the screw at the bottom holding the armature together. It seems to be dipped in red loctite. How did you remove the screw?
@peterlloyd2306
@peterlloyd2306 Ай бұрын
@MailFan I have to say it's a long time ago, but I usually resort to heat in such instances, either with a soldering iron on the end of the screw, a small gas blowtorch, or get the screwdriver end hot and let the heat transfer into the screw. Hope this helps.

Can I just say: THANK YOU !!! 😊 I found your video simple and logical to follow, your voice very pleasant to listen to (your explanations as you went - just great!) and your message of 'have a go' BRILLIANT !!! You clearly love doing what you do, and I thank you for making such helpful videos that are also enjoyable to watch. THIS particular video helped us repair a favorite pair of K92's (similar construction) that kept a Voice Over actor very happy indeed! Cheers mate! 🎙👍

That tray should come in very handy. I made something very similar from bits of an old broken chest of drawers that someone threw out. In fact, the design is functionally identical, apart from the fact that I joined the sides on mine with dovetails (I just like dovetails, and they don't take that long to cut). Three years on, and I'm still using it as-is. I haven't felt the need to make a mk 2 version yet. 🙂

Fully understand that feeling of needing to do something instead of relaxing. Watching this whilst a joiner fits a couple of doors better and quicker than I could.

Great story!! I just subscribed to see all the interesting things you get into. I will be starting a KZfaq channel as soon as it gets warmer here in Pa. I am building a 1928 restomod Morgan based on the 1928 Morgan RIP/GN special. I am assembling a machine shop to support the build and I am using a supercharged opposed twin as the engine and an MG 4 speed manual gearbox and an MG differential with wire wheels.

Hi Peter, just found your video 10 minutes after I changed the blade in my saw. Triton have upgraded the table saw insert and they’ve improved the fence which is available separately. There’s a video on KZfaq showing the new improved bits.I’ve never been convinced with this fence arrangement, though it’s almost the same as the one fitted to my 2000 workcentre. I’m considering upgrading my fence but it ain’t exactly cheap. I’ll watch your router table video when I get back from the pub.

Currently working on my RS 400 Q that lost power, but is still spinning a bit. Brushes ordered.... € 11,95 .... but wondering on the ancor and the magnet coils .... we'll see.
