Inqondwr why people dont braid them like i did and they will grow out into locks in time. Ive done this 3 times and its worked for all my past shoulder length growth and it doesnt unravel on you early on

Instant locs will only unravel if they’re not done well. I did it myself and I’m not good so I’ve had unravelling but I know it’s my fault. But you’re right, no matter what the method it’ll take a few months to start budding. There is no short cut 😂

Definitely 💯 agree with you on the start of the loc journey it can get rough af and when you go from a more traditional hairstyle to locs it can knock your confidence a bit but it’s a journey for a reason 😅 but I’m glad I stuck it out. I’m a year and 2 months in but it looks fire 🔥 compared to the beginning

I have very straight hair and pet a. Few locticians it would take a very long time to loc … if it locked…. In their words. So I may do instant Locs. Patience is something I pride myself in, but waiting for something that may never happen because of my soft, smooth straight texture is not something I am willing to do.

It doesn’t matter what type of hair you have. All hair can lock. It probably will just take your hair a little longer to lock. The process will be worth it in the end. I didn’t get instant locs though. Loc your own hair. You will appreciate the process more. I’m three years in. It going to be okay. And, don’t let anyone discourage you.

I started my hair myself with 2 strand 4 months ago. But i still have on some spots unraveling of the loc. Im so sad about it. But 99% of my hair is locd. But stil in the middle of my head, and in the back, I still need to two strand the hair again. Its so irritating. But im hanging on. 😂

Hi i started my instant locs 2/3 months ago, the problem is when i wash them they become lose/ lose shape and have to crotchet them again. Is this normal? And if so when will it stop? Also have long will it take till they loc on their own without the crotchet needle? Thanks ❤

After u first get em there is a bit of time u wanna wait before u wash them again cuz the water will loosen up the crochet especially depending on how tight your loc person put them in

You should really just wash the scalp. Many resources detailing how, but one way is to rub an astringent on the scalp. Another strategy is to wash with a stocking cap covering your hair.

No offense but the amount of time that I put in my hair from day one the trials the tribulations. Yeah I did it and I'm happy that I did. That being said I see so many people out here and you don't want to compliment anybody on their locks because so many people have instant locs or essentially fake locs. My personal opinion...fake locks and instant locs are cheating.. Why even have a channel if you didn't put in the time. Instant locks or as I said fake locks are no difference than wigs weaves braids and all the other nonsense we're walking around with. The only way you can keep it real is grow it real. Otherwise who wants to hear from you. Good luck.

Hello, I have CCCA Alopecia and male pattern baldness, which is a form of alopecia. I was told that stress cause Alopecia to get worse. My thinning is similar to your but a little worse. Hopefully, I can get back soon of the thicken. My part in the top of my head is very wide. I am subscribing to your challenge so I can keep up with any other suggestions you may have for Alopecia. It’s so nice seeing a loc’d couple share their journeys! My husband had scalp issues before we cut his locs last year. He was 5.5 years. I’m 8 years in (almost), started with 2 strand twists and I didn’t have dry scalp issues until the last year. Im still trying to figure out the cause but I combat it by wiping down my scalp with witch Hazel and a dark cloth keeping my scalp moisturized 2x weekly. Like you, I also am conscious of my diet. Thanks for the tip on the sulfur 8 I’m going to look into that.

Thanks we really appreciate the support😁. Wow almost a decade in, that’s dope! How’s his scalp doing now? I’m also sorry to hear about the dry scalp issue that arose it can definitely be daunting at times. Especially since pinpointing the issue is difficult considering the smallest thing can cause it to flair up. I hope you’re able to figure out the cause and please keep us updated. We’d love to hear about how it’s going and if you want any advice we’re here and we’ll do our best to help. You’re very welcome I hope it works for you, remember it stinks but it’s effective 😂. -Dom

Hi 👋🏽 your channel popped up on my feed!!! New subbie. But my question is it looks as though you interlocked the front of you hair but twisted the rest. Is that because you mentioned you work out daily? I am also a year in and I am torn on whether to keep interlocking (I have 400+ micro locs or start to twist. I seen another video where she started out interlocking and then switched to twisting. It seems so much fast to twist.
@thesnows4
@thesnows4 Жыл бұрын
Yes i interlock the front in order to prevent it from sweating out. I twist the back because it’s easier to maintain by myself since i don’t go to a loctician
