Seeing Steve live in a few days and man as much as I love his music, I just wish it was JTE. You’re missed more than you could ever know brother. Hope you’re getting the rest you deserve and that so many of us have struggled with achieving whether intentionally or unintentionally. RIP JTE

My son and I saw them in Philadelphia three weeks ago. They opened the show with [ Try a little tenderness , Otis Redding cover] . I was reaching for the tissues by the ending of it.

Hea gone from soul to country 😂 Reminds me of Bob Dylan. On his nashville phaze I like how he has completely changed his vocal styles. How the FCK have I only just discovered this dude recently??

After jail, surgeries, hard living, travelling, his voice got deeper maybe around 2018/2019? He ventured into more crooning while still singing soulful. He singing serves the song he's singing. He can do a lot. His natural accent is Texas mixed with Louisiana.

There was a slip of the tongue in the first chorus where he said "This one's like the last one" instead of "I got my days, man", accidentally ending both choruses with the same line.

It's amazing to hear her sing this live as she was able to genuinely re-create her vocals from the studio recording. That's something a lot of artists either can't or struggle to do when they perform live.
