Nice vlog. I would strongly advise you to book accommodation in advance if you come back to France soon though, many places are swamped with the Olympics coming up. Better safe than sorry :)

YOUNG MAN, I HAVE TO GET THIS OFF MY CHEST. I BELIEVE KOREA HAS A LIT OF CULTURAL GROWING UP TO DO. LOVE IS ALL INCLUSIVE!! KOREA DOESN'T Believe IN THAT. ANTIQUATED, OLD FASHION, OUTDATED PRACTICES DO NOT GO WELL IN MODERN TIMES!!! IT'S STRESSFUL, CRUEL, HURTFUL, PREJUDICIAL, & IT RESTRICTS THIS GENERATIONS Opportunities TO EXPAND & GROW LOVE IN THE WORLD. A 25-35 YEAR OLD MAN STICKING HIS LIPS OUT, MAKING SILLY FACES IS NOT CUTE ESPECIALLY TO A GROWN WOMAN OUT IN PUBLIC! THAT'S FOR CHILDREN!! YOU MENTIONED EATTING WELL???? HAHAHAHA!!! IF ANYONE GOT FAT, FROM EATING WELL, KOREANS AUTOMATICALLY FALL INTO SUPERFICIAL NONSENSICAL MINDSET. HEAVY PEOPLE ARE AUTOMATICALLY BULLIED. THEY ARE PUBLICALLY BODY SHAMED & RELENTLESSLY TEASED, OR IGNORED TO THE POINT OF INVISIBILITY. BULLIED PEOPLE PEOPLE BECOME DEPRESSED. THEY STARVE THEMSELVES OR COMMIT SUICIDE!! LOOK AT SUCCESSFUL KOREAN PEOPLE LIKE SOOBIN (SUICIDE), JIMIN (BTS) (EATING DISORDER BC FANS SAID HE WAS FAT!), & OTHER KPOP IDOLS, ACTORS/ACTRESSES.& MUSICIANS!!! COME ON, GET REAL! ! KOREAN PEOPLE ARE ANTI SOCIAL TO OTHER CULTURES, RACES, CREEDS & LGBQ+ PEOPLE. IF PEOPLW ARE NOT 'WHITE', KOREANS WON'T GIVE PEOPLE THE TIME OF DAY. THAT DOES NOT WORK WELL IN MODERN TIMES OR IN THIS GENERATION!! EVETYTHING YOU JUST SAID, APPLIES ONLY TO KOREANS, BY KOREANS & FOR KOREANS. THEY LEAVE THE REST OF THE WORLD OUT (UNLESS YOUR WHITE)!!!! WHERE'S THE POSITIVITY IN THAT??? COPY OTHER CULTURES BUT DON'T ASSOCIATE WITH THEN??? THAT'S DEFINITELY NOT RIGHT!! GRANNY & ELDERS NEED TO MAKE CHANGES WITHIN THEIR FAMILY STRUCTURE SI FUTURE CAN HAVE A CHANCE. THAT'S WHY YOU CAN SPEAK ENGLISH!! I DO GIVES PROPS TO THE SKIN CARE PRACTICES KOREA HAS TO OFFER. BUT NOT THE 'DEATHY SKINNY (WELL FED, YEAH! RIGHT!) IMAGES OF THE PEOPLE WEARING VERY VERY SHORT CLOTHES & SCHOOL UNIFORM OUTFITS WELL INTO THEIR 30'S.! CLOTHES SO SHORT, THAT A LAP COVER ARE NECESSARY! MY QUESTION TO YOU, ON A POSITIVE NOTE???? HOW ARE YOU MAKING A DIFFERENCE TO THOSE 100K SUBSCRIBERS YOU STATED IN THE BEGINNING?? HOW ARE YOU MAKING THEM FEEL GENUINELY INCLUSIVE OUTSIDE OF TALKING ABOUT 'HOW GREAT KOREA IS'?? I JUST WANT TI KNOW. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME & CONSIDERATION.

Thanks Dan, yes, Koreans go crazy when you cheer for them, esp the Soccer match where you guys came so close to the top, around 2007-2008. I bought a T-shirt with that special player, was he #18. So fierce a player, so energetic. You are great people, I have been to Seoul, and stayed there with my Korean Friends for 3-4 weeks. I loved it there. So safe, so kind. I only saw one other westerner there in those 4 weeks. Korean Airlines is great too. Just thinking about Korea, I want to go for another visit. I am impressed with the transit and Subway, impressed by the food stores. Most of all impressed by the people. I am a Brit living in Canada. I will revisit your channel.

Number 4 is my thing, my speciality and I can say thank u Korea to have learned me to respect older people because I use it in my country because for me it's became a principle. And Korea older people love me because I'm a tiny woman, thin, polite and pretty, smiling they appreciate it, they told me several times

I wish I could enjoy more Korean foods! Unfortunately, I've had lifelong health issues which caused me to be unable to eat foods with spice. (regular black pepper is the "spiciest" I can have) That being the case, I've eaten relatively bland foods my whole life, and because of that I have absolutely NO tolerance for spiciness. So many traditional Korean foods have some form of spiciness, and I can't eat them. It makes me so sad!!

An Ajumma glared daggers to me last year while I was trying to eat my ramen T.T why? I cannot for the life of me eat anything spicy, literally pepper is too spicy for me T.T But it was really delicious, I imagine she thought i was thinking the food was horrible, which it was not.

I don’t think I have ever heard a negative opinion towards Korea or Koreans, honestly. The soldiers I’ve known who have gone over have always had good things to say. Seems like a beautiful culture, with really hard working, respectful and intelligent people.

I feel you are somewhat discriminating and excessively proud. There is an etiquette that mostly people understand when you go to another country. I do not think Korea needs a special favor.

You are carrying on. In your country the women wear skirt up to their butts mostly in other countries hmmm not so much a little vulgar but women show cleavage. Here is a difference. In public in my country we speak softly not the case in your country the parents in your country are overwhelming with their children. It still is old ways that besides USA existing in Europe. You still carry old fashion way of living there is a country side existing deeply. I feel. I might be wrong.

In Korean speaking it pronunciation is incredibly important which I found out the hard way during a language lesson when I was saying that I want shinbal when I go to Korea… and instead I said a swear word so I basically said I want----------.

I agree with the few words to know and learn on the local language, but happy new year is easier on English 😊. And, I don't like kimchi at all...sorry. Plus, I always also drop food on my clothes just like you....And i wanted to know, why korean people eat lettuce but not bread? I see from movies 🎬 k- dramas etc that rich Koreans eat bread, but poor Koreans eat lettuce with meat ...weird right? And why Koreans r so crazy about an ICE Americano? Here in the states everyone drinks HOT americano. I would also like to know, if Koreans eat anything else than noodles and rice and the variety of those two? I guess u don't have diabetic people in your country, cause they definitely can't eat those

I'm going to Korea in October and our cultures are very different, I'm very afraid of doing something that disrespects Korean culture and that's why I've been studying a lot about the country, it was the historical part of the country that made me want to go and see it, I believe that the least I can do is respect your culture, thank you very much for the video, it helped a lot and I will continue watching others.

I started to watch K-drama's on Netflix because American & English shows have become so dull & preachy. I like the Korean culture but I was shocked & saddened to hear that you have the lowest birth rate with the highest suicide rate. I sincerely hope this changes soon because you have a beautiful culture

Thanks for this very insightful video. Really enjoyed it. I am on my 4th visit to Korea and haven’t encountered any racism even though I have white hair, am very tall and travelling by myself. Yes I get stared at but most people do it in a polite way. I smile and say hello ( in Korean ) . I would love to come and live here as Amanda said it is so safe compared to the UK

I still don't know whether Korean people would like me or not: I would die for kimchi (I abssolutely love it), I'm taking Korean language lessons (still a beginner, but I would love to talk Korean with Korean people), I love Korean culture, I would defend them in any situation... But... I'm 47 years old, got tattoos all over my arm, and I am an artist. What would they think of me? I'm a little frightened about it. I haven't been in Korea yet (I'm waiting to talk better) but I really wonder what would they think of me...

This was helpful to me. I may be moving to S. Korea next year and the blogs I read emphasized the difficulty making friends. When I move to a new town in the US (I have done this several times) it takes about 3 years to create good friends. Also, I have had 3 women friends from Korea who were the nicest, warmest and most generous friends I have had. My problem is I don't speak the language yet, but I want to go with an open mind and minimal expectations, good people are everywhere.
