I am pretty sure it is by doing: 1) The wack-a-mole achievement, getting a score of 100 in her minigame in the hub area. It is kind of hard to see but if you go to the hub screen with the campfire in the middle and Chester's shop in the top left, you can actually go to another screen to the left. 2) After you do that there should be another NPC there instead of Mona you can talk to that tells you Mona left the camp. At that point you need to find Mona in a bonus room randomly in a run, one of those side rooms you go to when entering portals in levels.

You get an extra life at certain score benchmarks, to get 3 extra lives you need to reach 250,000 Score. 60,000 | 150,000 | 250,000 are the times for the first 3 extra lives. The Red Flames and items give a lot of points so I make sure to just grab them at least. I forget the next mark for an extra life, but overall you want to try getting to 250,000 Score without dying.

I don't know how honestly, I think they may change it because right now it is the hardest even if possible. You have like 8-10 seconds of invulnerability when you do randomly get the powerup that is needed for it. To travel down 100 Meters in 8-10 seconds you need like no walls and very few colors, like depth 300-400. In theory, get the gold powerup at like depth 299, go to that level 300->400, and mash dig down. Problem is I don't think I have ever seen a gold powerup even at depth 200-300.

@@klubbah1003 how about getting one on the freefall section during 600-700 meters? if you hug a wall you pretty much fall through the whole section.. I myself still struggle with the 6 lives achievements, but now that you mention saving powerups, I'm gonna aim for this as well.

You beat her mini game by getting 100 score then finding her in a random challenge portal in the main game, best characters for the first part are specter and the secret character you need a refract ability to unlock

I wasn't able to place any higher and was going for one of the achievements, crossing the finish line as the last Safe Rank. Really hard to do outside of these last Grand Prix races and even then it requires all 20 players to live. I tried getting 80th in some 99 player games but as soon as just 1 of the 80 people crash out on the final lap you can't get it anymore.

Yeah, each car has the golden color behind winning any Grand Prix with it.

I'm trying that too and haven't touched Stingray much since, can probably learn a bit more from zewing on twitch or youtube www.youtube.com/@ZewingFZC Try to be a little ahead of the big mosh pit of cars sooner than later. If you get stuck in it too far back try to build up to the skyway to get out rather than boosting out. In general just being conservative with your boosting, maybe 1 good spot per lap unless you get some KOs. You are not gonna over heal your energy bar on this machine most likely anyways. For turning, a lot of turns you try to tap accelerate instead of just letting go of it on this. Your goal is just being at your top speed as often as you can, whether people bump you to get there or you swerve around the place like a pro.

Yeah all my Grand Prix wins I have definitely noticed for now I have ended up with a giant Health/Boost bar from K.O.s and starting aiming for them more. Definitely don't need the extra gauge if you are really really good from what I have seen, but I don't feel there yet.

I'm fine with any suggestions, though for the rest of this year I feel pretty much set on some games to play. I'm looking forward to playing the Sonic Frontiers DLC -> Disgaea 7 -> Super Mario Wonder and I might play Super Mario RPG Remake. Also still want to finish Baldur's Gate 3 and Pizza Tower. Just been a lot of games i'm enjoying. I actually recorded my whole Tears of the Kingdom playthrough, but haven't finished even just minimal editing to upload.

Ultimate definitely already feels harder to me. I did play a bit with buttons before on the 3DS which is pretty similar to the Switch controller here besides including multiple notes at once. I'll probably end up using more healing / defensive skills for a while in this game, at the very least in the multiplayer with all the debuffs you get.

@@klubbah1003 I recall trying to use the buttons back in the 3DS era, but found the stylus infinitely preferable. That said, upon further consideration, I think what's tripping me up is the larger screen; With the 3DS I could keep my eyes stuck on the targets on the right side of the screen and just look at the incoming notes with just my peripheral vision. With the Switch I have to keep an eye on both sides of screen and it's throwing me off. I'll try downloading the demo on the PS4 and see if its easier from a distance and with a more comfortable controller.

I just play on Keyboard, have not tried a controller or any key config yet. If I do try a controller or make any changes the one thing that stands out is Spacebar to dash does not feel as responsive as I want it to sometimes. But that is probably just be me tilting after taking damage😅

Wow, good to know. Just tried it out real quick. I ended up even running out of bombs and having to miss a whetstone chance at a Treasure Rock on Floor 10 in this run, but may have missed a good choice not knowing you could bomb those doors.

This was recorded right before the 0.1.9b update where it looks like they added that display to show what the Doppelganger is copying. I do think Broken Hero Sword upgrades are extremely good weapons, but it costs a lot of money to get it to +3 and then +4, and you need to find a way to get it to +4. Unfortunately can't guarantee a whetstone from the Tavern Knight past Cinders 0-4. Here I really wanted to save some money to get Drinks at the tavern at the end, but never even felt rich / confident enough for that and just got more heals. Honestly though another big reason I didn't take the broken hero sword was mainly just how strong Bombs are for clearing the extra enemies they add to bosses. Having to fight a boss that has 2 Enchantments and those additional enemies just gets a little crazy.

@@klubbah1003 Agreed, amazed you pulled this off. My only run with ascended broken sword was when I actually got a Djinn to make instant +4, so that helped a lot. I think Doppleganger thief should be also plenty strong, it means basically 0 need for any keys in the whole run, if you don't mess up the timing, which is easy anyway. In the long run it could mean more bombs, but not so great if you need them early on.
