It breaks my heart that he said if you are not Muslim you are not really understand Rumi. All I have to say is that reading Rumi has hit me straight right in my heart many, many times I can’t read his poetry without tears coming to my eyes. It has made me understand things I didn’t even know existed, but specially it has helped me starting to see and understand God beyond something I never ever thought I had the capacity to see.
