Good information, and I will re-watch this video when I get ready to move to Saipan next year. The only criticism I have is your recommendation of Expedia. I also worked in the travel industry many years ago, in fact, I graduated from a travel college. Expedia is an OTA (online travel agency). Neither their point system or customer service is tied to the actual travel industry. They outsource to India the same as all OTAs. I personally had a negative experience with their customer service which resulted in a loss of money, because if you purchase through Expedia, you can't deal directly with the Hotel or Airline. I will only use Expedia to see which airlines go to a particular destination, and will then book directly through that airline. That way you not only receive their mileage credit, but if there are any problems with a flight, they will take care of it for you, because you are not dealing with a third party. Hotels are a problem though, because they have been so bullied by OTAs that only the better ones allow direct booking. Anyway, great information otherwise.

@@user-ji1eu1pt3p you will NEVER get a Lower Price booking Directly with an Airline, I fly Dirt Cheap through Expedia all the time. And you can ONLY get a cheaper price Booking direct with Mom and Pop Hotels NEVER with the Larger Hotels. Of Course you can't make a Deal Directly with the Hotels AFTER you already booked through Expedia. It's one way or the Other NOT BOTH. And most Hotels are never going to give you the Rate you see on Expedia.

@@ronstorms4363 I have been to Thailand many times, I was engaged to 4 different Thai Girls (never married though) so Thailand is like my Home, I know Thai people, and I know how to even COOK Thai food, so when I look at Foods or Pick something I already know what I am getting. Maybe I will do more Food Videos in the Future, if you watch my Hua Hin Video I have some Thai Foods in that Video, I DO Like the Hot Stuff, because that is Normal in Thai Food, and I like it the way They like it. For me, it just doesn't taste the same without the Hot Stuff. I Like Curries and Seafoods, but I Also really like Pad Thai if it is done right. Problem is most people don't know how to Cook Pad Thai Correctly. The Foods on my Thumbnail is Toasted Coconut. It's Delicious if you ever get a chance to taste it, the Mexicans make it too, almost the exact same way.

Im thinking there's gotta be some riches there. Maybe a lil safe buried within the walls or the ground. I would definitely be going back and packing a metal detector, a shovel, a sledgehammer etc. And perhaps bringing a friend or two to really rip shit up... Btw, Great video!

I got a Bike when I first arrived to Saipan, and I used that Bike to Ride all over the Island. But we are now entering the Rainy Season and I got wet many times Riding the Bike in the Rain on Saipan. When it rains in Saipan - IT RAINS!! If you are Carrying a Cellphone and you get Caught it the Rain it will be Trash!! The Kids buy Pelican Cases to carry their Phones in which are Water Proof. How much money do you have? If you have a lot of Money buy a Car, if you don't have a lot of Money buy a Used Bike and a Back Pack and put everything in Ziplock Bags because it's gonna get wet! THERE ARE NO SCOOTERS ON SAIPAN!! So Don't Plan on Buying a Scooter unless you Order one off Ebay. Because they don't have any on Saipan. If you have enough Buy an Off Road Dirt Bike, then you can go anywhere on the Island easy. Or a 4x4 Truck or Jeep would be good. If you don't have enough for those buy a Mountain Bike. Make sure it has Shocks and Disc Brakes. The Chinese Taxis are very Cheap usually you can go someplace for around $3 to $6 the MARKED Taxis are outrageously Expensive because they Target Tourists, so learn the Difference between something that is MARKED as a TAXI and a Chinese Taxi because there is a World of Difference in Price. Also THERE ARE NO JOBS in Saipan, so I hope you are NOT planning on trying to find one, because you may be very disappointed. Watch my Retirees Video and my Digital Nomads Video both of those Videos will give you a really good idea of what to expect. Thanks for Watching! 😁

its a nice video, thank you for show us your adventure with a positive intention, nothing scary. Stop trying to see a ghost where are none, you saying this probably would not have a good oportunity or a nice trip trying the app with those bad intentions, stop trying to put that stuff on other people minds, and i hope a good focus for the good things on yours adventures and luck for the best! just take care where u going, and keep yourself safe, even more if u are a woman alone, like, i would not recommend you to go on some weird places, even if u have good intensions, other people can have the negative intensions... so you know... its the same as going to any unknow places without the app...

No, The 4th of July is Celebrated Two Fold in Saipan, One it is the Independence Day for the U.S. and Two some Chamorros Celebrate it as the Day the U.S. let them out of the Interment Camps. Honestly I believe the Hype about the Internment Camps is drummed up by the Democrats who seek to Sew Hatred and Division among Everyone in the U.S. so the Democrats in Saipan USE the Interment Idea to Stir up hatred for White people basically. The Majority of the People on Saipan are Filipino and Most Filipinos are just happy to be there, they are not interested in Hating anyone. Aside from that, there is Cultural Performances for many Hours on Stage. (I could not show any of that due to Copyright Rules on KZfaq) A big part of this Event IS about Food, but unlike Thailand which has Night Markets EVERYNIGHT, Saipan only has Food Markets a few times a YEAR. So it is kind of a Big Deal for the people who Live there.

Thanks Mark. In 1977 a couple friends and I were stationed in the Air Force on Guam and flew to Saipan for the weekend. We stayed at the Royal Taga Hotel when there were only two hotels including the Continental. We walked all over the island and actually went by that old cemetery you rode by. I retired 5 years ago and have traveled around the world but am now considering moving to Saipan permanently at the end of next year. Thanks again for the memories.

I was in Andersen AFB from 1986 to 1989 that's when I came to Saipan for the first time also. There are not as many Bars here now as there were in 1986, the FBI Closed them all down when the U.S. took over the Island. I Imagine there were a lot of Bars when you were here too, Now there are no Filipino Bars on the Island at all. There is ONE on Tinian, but Zero on Saipan.
