You can have the best of both worlds, Smite V netherite sword and sharpness axe. One shot undead mobs with the sword use the axe for everything else.

If anyone's asking, 'why Bedrock doesn't have attack cool down?" It's because Bedrock Edition is available on mobile. And Mojang fears it would be an impossible mechanic to exploit, and would only negatively affect the players.
