Exhaust performance is directly linked to the speed the cylinder can evacuate exhaust gas. While also maintaining proper backpressure to seal the exhaust valves at speed. When you pop a balloon with a higher pressure, it makes a bigger boom. Higher EGT will have expanded air density and also allow for more oxygen to enter the combustion chamber on the intake stoke. More oxygen = More Power Higher compression = More Power Faster exhaust flow = More power

Well yeah, more pressure = more power, it's the whole point of pop-up pistons. If you have a naturally low compression, it's just one of the logical steps to take alongside other tweaks

I know its 4 years old but its really great that hptuners changed up the flow rate vs kpa to flow rate vs press altering the entire table.
@lsxtuner6126
@lsxtuner6126 Жыл бұрын
I still have flow rate vs kpa. KPA is a unit of pressure or you can use PSI as another unit of pressure. They both represent pressure measurements. You can also change flow rate to various units like cc/min or lb/hr. Just different units of flow and different units of pressures. It's always been flow rate vs pressure.

@@lsxtuner6126awesome build man. Have you made an air inlet for it yet or is it still taking in all that dirty hot air? I have an F1A on mine now but I have an F1A-94 on the shelf and I will put it on one day so I am searching the web to see what GTO owners are doing with the F1A-94’s and air intake. Thanks man

@@baby-sharkgto4902 I've tried it with and without an air inlet with filter. Makes more power without an inlet and IAT's are the same. Just a large air to air intercooler, but I run ethanol and meth injection. At 20 psi I'm barely over ambient temp for IAT's in the summer after back to back pulls. I wrap headers also otherwise just a blower guard on it works for my use just fine.

@@lsxtuner6126 that is awesome, thanks for the info 🙏 I have been curious about the F1A-94’s on our cars for a while. On mine it looks like there is just enough room to fit. Did you have to massage your fender for fitment?

@@baby-sharkgto4902 Nope went from a D1x to an F1a-94 bolted right up. Tiny bit of clearance between the blower and the inner fender. I use a brace I made on the blower to support it also.
