Good morning hon...I am about to restart my balloon business. I appreciate all the information you have given. My question is how do I charge if the client provides ALL the materials?

I wouldn’t do the event if a person has the materials. They will always lowball and complain about your price because now it’s just labor. I would always say to the clients “My price includes all materials to guarantee my work.” And if they can’t pay full price, onto the next 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️

I have already told my friends and family that I want to start a party-planning business and. they are excited. Most of these people already know my work because they have been seeing my work for the last 10 years. I have been planning parties for my job for the past 29 years. Like you said people don't like to pay. I usually will explain what today's prices are and then my fee.

Commenting in the beginning of this video because I just watched another of your videos decided to search through your videos and decided this would be the next one and the beginning is a lot of my qualities, my children have been edging me on for some years and since I've been thinking of retiring (but I'm not😆) I've been thinking of starting my business part-time.

Today is my second time watching this video, I watched it before many months ago and it showed back on my feed and I know why. I've been researching since last year because I'm planning to start my business of linen rental. I decorated for my oldest wedding 7 years ago over a hundred guests, my youngest last year over a 125 guests and my godson's graduation this past weekend planned for 50-60 guests. I've done a few others on a small scale, old school style but nothing major. My family thinks I could do event decorating but that's not what I want to do. I know it's hard work for one or two people. I want to rent linen. It was hard to find reasonably priced linen for the events I've done so I purchased them all close to the price of rental go figure. Now, I know it'll be harder work since I'll be washing, drying and ironing but I have a plan that I believe will work☺️ and most dislike that task. And I know I'll probably still do decorating for events of 75 or less on occasion as I do enjoy it. My prayers are that we all are successful in whatever we do.

Love your twist on this groovy and useful gift for teachers. I’m about to make two smaller ones and I was wondering about sealing the whole thing (at least crayons 🖍️ ) with something bc imagine it rains one day &’teachers move around each year so hoping to make it last. Also thinking of melting crayons that break into little apples or hearts for teachers to use for following year. SAY A PRAYER AND THANKS A MILLION. 😅

Yes i started my business 20 years ago and there was no internet, so i started with people i know, my church and took pictures of every and volunteer and built my business from the ground up! It was so rewarding to make money from you gifts and creativity!

I think you should think about the risk it takes to design your events. I 1000% recommend getting insurance to help cover your business. I did it as a designer and I recommended it to past clients!
