Honestly go to a community college and if you’re getting a law degree or med school then go to a nice school. Don’t pay for Ivy League for your undergrad. I used to sell marketing and finance courseware for schools (including lesson plans, homework, simulations, etc) and many community colleges used this courseware as WELL AS HARVARD! So some students were paying 20x the amount for the same course.

Ivy Leagues are only considered Ivy leagues because of their good sports programs too. So don’t go for the name go for what you’re looking for, like public, private, liberal arts, community, competitive, big classes, small classes.

I feel that. I had to grow up and take care of my brother and sister when my parents didn’t want to. Then take care of my brother when my sister died. The eldest is an important role I wouldn’t change for anything though.

Ivy schools are elite universities in America with very low acceptance rates meaning its very difficult to get in. Typically if your applying for an ivy league, you would have a safety school which is a college with a higher acceptance rate meaning its easier to get in so that way even if you get rejected from the Ivies, you still have a back up college

it’s basically like telling a story and then explaining it throughout the essay, then concluding with the same story. for example, if i wrote about a journey and ended back up in the same place afterwards. i guess it doesn’t leave a lot of space for growth 🤷🏻♀️

Embark and delve are pretty normal.. tapestry is pretty specific but you can embark on any "journey".. and delve into a good show.. just cuz they're colorful doesn't mean they're dead and AI only.

This is frustrating.... People who grew up speaking English & people who learned it as a second language in colonized countries have different ways of using the language. It's really easy to normalize discriminating against international students if you normalize assumptions like this None of these words scream AI to me cuz ppl use it where I'm from 🤷♀️

Just like international students have a certain way of using English language, so does AI! It’s hyper specific in terms of cadence and vocabulary. I’ve spent a lot of time playing around with AI so I can tell the difference! No worries for international students… if they’re really using their genuine voices. It’s about a tell tell list of words that always pops up in AI generated text! These words by themselves don’t mean anything, but when you throw in a forced usage of the word harmonious for example, and the cadence is off… it’s likely ai generated!
