easier way without using a hammer. the two bolt holes from the caliper bracket use a nut and bolt and push the rotor off from behind, turning BOTH bolts until they touch the back of the rotor, then continue turning a little more on each bolt until the rotor pop's off. no hammer needed.👍

Legitimately, with a rotor that's been rust welded, hitting that hoe even with a air hammer is one of the only ways you're getting it off, unless people want you to use a rotor puller pressing on the axle & nut. Best lug threads I've ever destroyed. There's 1000 different tools, but one can do about 999 of them. The last one needs a screwdriver too.

@@shaun2222 I don’t know about “easily”… please don’t be dishonest. It takes years to build the kind reputation, skills, and equipment to get to the point of making “lawyer money”. You also have to be GOOD. Problem is you’ll be working LONG hours doing hard labor, straining your back, neck, and other joints. Nothing fun about a 2 hour job turning into a 6 hour job because of a couple of rusted bolts and going home with bruised hands. I didn’t go to college to make a lot of money. I went to college to design rocket engines and use my brain for a living instead of my body. But like I said, I’m glad there are people that find being a regular mechanic, enjoyable. Some people are better built for some things than others. I’m glad there is someone I can pay to replace my radiator so I can spend my Saturdays resting from working all week.

As a fellow rust belt mechanic. Don't put the set screw back in, especially on cars that use actual lug nuts not bolts. There only there for factory, and they will cause the next tech 5 years down the line a good fee curse words and likely a torch and a impact driver.
