Boston children’s has probably saved hundreds of thousands of lives probably even more and it’s amazing that they try everything and they always do everything and it is so great that a place like it exists and I hope and pray that it never ever gets shut down ever

I’m watching in 2024, and I still have the same disdain that I did in 1991 for HMO’s as I do today. My Dad worked for a Union that paid for the majority of any medical expenses our family experienced. Sadly, he passed away in 1987. They continued to cover my Mom, and I afterwards but at a high cost. We switched, and when I graduated college my first job only offered a HMO, I also had pre existing conditions which weren’t covered at the time. I’m so grateful that I’m no longer discriminated for having health issues since 1986. I’ve had over 20 surgeries, a cancer scare, and deteriorating health at 54 probably due to a bad gene pool mix. I fear for my future, but know that I am lucky compared with others throughout the world. My world was rocked in 2018 when I began experiencing numbness, and pain in my left arm. I saw numerous doctors who couldn’t pinpoint the cause. Eventually I found out that my neck was drifting to the right, needed emergency surgery to avoid paralysis. I lost my job, a career as a 911 dispatcher for 24 years. Five years later the surgery itself held up, but I have additional cervical problems. The outlook isn’t promising. Additionally, every disc in my lower back except one is herniated, one is broken (I don’t know how I damaged / broke them / it), and have lost my insurance. I consider myself a person who has a high pain tolerance to endure this without knowing until it gets this painful. I’ve lost one request for disability. The US makes medical treatment so difficult, expensive, and challenging for its citizens. No, I don’t know what the answer is, but I know the system is broken. From what I understand both Tiffanie, and the turtle have since died. Tiffanie’s parents did everything correctly, her insurance company failed her, and should be liable for her death. We are not dollar signs, and I know they sued, but that won’t bring Tiffanie back to life. Richard Nixon, and Mr. Kaiser have blood on their hands for the introducing HMO’s, and putting so much of our nation’s health at risk. All in the name of MONEY 😤🤯🤬

My entire family are organ donors. We can’t think of anything more important than to help contribute to the continuation of life in another human being. From there our bodies will be donated to science for continued growth in medical science. I implore everyone who watches this video to place yourself on the organ donor list.

Lawyers would be too provocative to ever be allowed in a morbidity session. These people are looking in hindsight. They did the best they could in the moment.

There's many on this earth that take life for granted, sacrifice it to things, because they think that's a huge accomplishment, and hey Walmart has a shelf with body parts and lives, so whatever: while there's others like that officer who sacrifice his life for ours, to be safe, and gets injured and is blessed with a second chance at life . Just saying don't take life for Granted, think twice before you sacrifice it! ❤❤❤❤❤

Sad to see Dr Carson get into the GOP merry-go-round & he sure lost his talent as a surgeon.

Nice how he threw Dr. Carson under the bus. The poor child had no brain function. She was just a body existing on life support. No chance of recovery. So, she HAD technically passed. She was no longer there. God rest her soul💔

Stunning to realize it's 25 years since this show was created. Time sure flies. I was living in Baltimore when this show first aired. Scary to see how dated it looks now and to also be reminded about what a miserable SOB Ben Carson was even before he went legitimately psycho after ending his medical career. I feel sorry for anyone who fell for his BS.

Just like any other hospital in the US. Too few tired practitioners and too many patients! You'll get better health care service in 3rd World Countries!

The man critizing the resident for not being able to stablish a proper air way is a pain in the butt..instead of harassing the lady resident he must try to help her..is not the time to critizise but to help...very annoying indeed..👎👎👎

Same! Same sentiments! I just finished reading the book "Tuesdays with Morrie" and I just cannot stop crying... such profound wisdom... and such a never say die attitude!! Some lines just get etched in your memory....GIVING IS LIVING.... If you are on the bed, you are dead.... Really... this world would have been such a better place if we only knew how to love and respect each other! Thank you for such a lovely read... and yes.... a person can LIVE ON even after he is dead, has been proved... by Prof Morrie Schwartz.
