I'm not blown away with Utah. I know there fans talk about there run defense. Baylor was the worst run offense in the big 12 and ran well before the injuries. They lost some play makers. The thing utah has is the easiest schedule. The other thing is qb, their one of a redwood teams that have no back up. It's not a cake walk buy they play less of the better teams.

U can make a case for any school, but when u break it down there really r only 4 schools with the least amount of questions marks: Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Arizona, and Utah. Playing a G5/independent schedule is vastly different than playing a p5 schedule as depth becomes key in October and November. Look at teams with great talented starters, but struggled at the end, mainly BYU and Colorado. I’m not saying that those r the only 4, but as of right now those r def the front runners.

As a utah fan, most of us look at this coming year as our year and its playoff or bust. Which might sound totally nuts. Which it might be. However, with how many seniors and upper classmen we have, we are extremely confident in this team. Last year, we were playing games with 18 of our 22 starters injured. So fans of the big 12 will look at utah and say oh they were 8-4 last year. What are they smoking that they are going to dominate this league. For utah fans, we look at this schedule and say its easy or a cake walk because last year we were playing top 15 teams every week or every other week it felt like. So a lot of utah fans might sound crazy but this is not the year to mess with utah. If utah gets to their first bye week with 1 or less losses watch out. Go utes

Utah does have a fairly easy regular schedule. If they get to Arlington they will have a very tough game. I will optimistically give them a 25% chance to win the conference.

As an Utah fan it’s up in the air between Utah, Okie St, KSU, WV, ISU, TCU, Kansas, UCF, Zona. I think any of those are the best on paper going in. I agree with you it’s wide open.
