could you do a video on budgeting for an upcoming trip
@dio.mikota8 күн бұрын
@AbigailKearns heeey 🌞 i m not planning to volunteer this way in near future so won't be able do it properly but i will try here!😃 ~ the main expenses were flight tickets ~$1200CAD Toronto Peru round trip and Toronto to Hawaii CAD 720 one way ticket food was fully provided at the peruvian farm but i still was buying nuts, mango, avocagos, snacks which is pretty cheap in Peru like 1 big fat mango around cad $1 comparing to Canada where it would cost $4-7 (i also got WorldNomad travel insurance just in case, costed me around $300 for 3 months) Hawai'ian grocery is super duper increadibly expensive and since my farm didn't provide sufficient amount of food i was buying alot and it is all 2-3 times more expensive than on the main land.. i was lucky that i had money saved for this..but people gotta be prepared because 80% of the produce in Hawai'i is imported meaning expensive "buy less for more" kinda vibe yeah, it is all personal and depends where you go but i believe that it is possible to find farm wich provide 100% of food and you won't need to spend at all (in most places it is gonna be rice, beans, veggies, oatmeal, nut butter, salt, sugar, bread, since it is the cheapest in bulk for farm owners but doesn't suit everyone's dietary needs) but need to be prepared for any emergency always!!(i had to go to the doctor's appointment in Hawaii, it costed me usd $140🤐) you never know best of luck on your journey 🌴
