I need to make by bracelet 9” for my wrist size. How long of a total string should I need to start with? 14”?
@letitbead2084Күн бұрын
14-15” should be long enough. If you have a spool of elastic you can just string directly onto the spool and then cut it after stringing the beads with a few inches on each side before tying it. When starting out, having longer ends to work with is a bit easier than trying to tie short ends. Best of luck to you. Thanks for watching:)

Most helpful video I've watched in a long time. Works like a charm, and the resulting knot is compact enought to fit into a larger hole bead. Thanks!

thank you! i am wondering how many 8mm beads are needed for men?
@letitbead2084Ай бұрын
You’re welcome:) It really depends on the wrist size as not everyone is the same, but I would estimate anywhere from 25-30 beads. I have found that most men will fit bracelets that measure between 8”-9” in length.

I made a beaded bracelet 1 time when I was a young girl and it came undone, beads everywhere. I lost all desire to make bracelets. Now, as an adult, I'm looking back into it as a way to bond with my nieces and in the future, my daughters. Thank you for saving me from further future heart break. This was simple and looks super secure. Thank you, again❤

I'm still having trouble with the overhand knot part. Can you please show how you put the two strings together when the other string was wrapped around the tip of your finger? Thanks! It's at 1:11 by the way.
@letitbead20842 ай бұрын
Hi. I wrap only the two strings around the tip of my finger and then put the two ends through the loop made from wrapping around my finger and then secure the knot into place just above the square knot. It is an overhand knot just like when you tie a balloon if you’ve ever done that. Good luck and thanks for watching:)

What cutters are these?
@letitbead20843 ай бұрын
They are soft flex cutters made by Beadsmith. I use them for elastic, soft flex wire and all metal wire except for solid steel such as memory wire. They’re great cutters with a fine tip for precision.

I've always just tied multiple knots. And I've never done left over right..that was awkwaaaarrrddd! 😂 This is a much prettier knot, but you gotta hide it in the bead! 😍
@letitbead20843 ай бұрын
It does feel counterintuitive to tie the left over right for sure! And yes, if you have a bead that will accommodate the knot, it can be hidden inside:) Thank you for watching♥️
@lauraandrews80724 ай бұрын
Question.... how about the first knot, then a drop of crazy glue. Omitting the square not at the end....I just like a smaller knot ??????
@letitbead20844 ай бұрын
The first square knot holds the ends in place in order to tie the final overhand knot. If you can get just one overhand knot tight close to the beads I would do that vs. the square knot as it is what really holds it together:)

would it help if I like use lighter on the end of the knot? because mine's still loose
@letitbead20844 ай бұрын
Sorry to hear. I don’t ever use a lighter. You may have to pull the knot tighter. The second overhand knot is the one that really secures it all together. Best of luck to you:)
