Way late here but was led here by your more recent stuff. This is almost a blow-by-blow accounting of a GS850L I loaned a German friend to do an epic 4200 miles ride from Tulsa OK around the Southern Rockies. I have more "episodes" to go but the only thing missing so far is getting stuck in a mountain town because of a freak snowstorm in July and riding the last 400 miles home with no clutch cable on my bike.

Watching from Amsterdam. I'm only about an hour in, but I love this video. It's so unique compared to what else is out there. I love the raw honesty mixed with great editing and content.

Also, the way you showcase Onx is really informative. When I plan my trip to the US, I will 100% buy a subscription because of you.

Heading across I-90 west in South Dakota and all of a sudden clearing the next rise and there’s the Missouri River and the sweeping curves on the other side.

I’m looking to buy a motorcycle after not having one for 15 years! I’ve always loved this style of bike but I doubt I’ll go off road too much. Is this totally fine even if I just stay on pavement 95% of the time? Great video :)

You are doing what many people only dream of doing. And you are sharing with the rest of us. Thankfully, rude people are rare in the Western U.S. Rude people are just so disappointed with their own sad , nondirectional lives that they must pass this failure on to others. Many have huge unearned egos. Don't bow to these warts! Thanks for the ride along!

The truth is if it was a guy, a rude guy running his mouth negatively towards you, I believe it is because he is very envious of you and wishes he was riding.

I just came across your website & after watching it for 20 or so minutes, I realize how much I want to go on the road on my 1985 Honda Goldwing & the awsome trailer to carry all of the essentials. I admit to being an OVER PACKER, but I try to include those things that provide a means of solving the unexpected. But it's nice when that little something either saved the day or just made the night under the moon just a little bit better! Ok at this time I don't know any others who would be interested in planing a road trip to where ever let me know & maybe we can plan a trip.

Hi, Amanda, I just love your videos and they're so high-quality! Wondering if you went to film/computer science school to learn how to shoot and edit and all the other technical skills that go into such a fine product? It looks so complicated.

Congrats on your journey. My journey is nearing its end. I have 4 more states and it will be my longest ever solo trip from GA to Alaska and the west coast and back to GA. I was able to ride Hawaii in April, so that will be the only state not on my bike. Ive camped before but i really dont enjoy it, mostly because my trips are very compact. This next trip will be in August and only last 2 weeks. Some of the days will be very long. I have the luxury to stop at hotels or use the Motorcycle Travel Network. I wasnt aware of the KOA cabins. Thanks for the tip.

I just want you to know, I am from PA and watching your videos has inspired me to "get out there and do the things!" It has become my husband and I mantra... we are not getting any younger! We just took our 1 week vacation from work and road our bikes from Western PA to Maine up the coast and back! We tried to stay off the major highways and even though I ride 3 wheels and he has his 2 wheel motorcycle, we had an amazing time and loved the adventures and people we met. we did 3 days camping and 4 days hotels.. but drove over 1700 miles in 7 days and most of those were winding twisty back roads. LOVED IT!! It was our first of I hope many long trips! Thank you for being such a HUGE inspiration!! We are already planning our next trip!! Route 66 sounds fun! THANK YOU for sharing with us your tips/ tricks and motivation! I have made it a goal to get my Ryker CanAm to every state! Please continue your path, you speak to so many of us! Now I need to go get that cook book!!

Fantastic production Amanda, was fun to watch this. I listened to Jocelin Snow's sort of life story when she was interviewed on Adventure Rider Radio podcast years ago. Such a firecracker of determination.

Only time I've been to the left...erm.. west coast, was year 2000 (pre TSA, also last time I've flown). Wasn't on a motorcycle but in a rental minivan with my folks. Drove out of SF across the GG bridge. We didn't cut to the coast until Willits and then out to Fort Bragg. There's a fantastic botanical gardens there and highly recommended. Pacific was very windy that time and waves were spectacular to watch and listen to crashing in. Drove north through the Avenue of the Giants and eventually Eureka. East bound to Redding and south a spell to an uncle's house. Haven't been to Oregon but the NorCal coast and landscape was fantastic.

Another lil bit of advice from a library enthusiast: if you live in a bigger area with a bigger library, go see if you can check out some camp gear! For example, in indiana (evansville to be specific) the public library system has something called the library of things. You can check out a tent, inflatable kayak, even a hammock! I lived in evansville for about 20 years before I even found out about it, so I wish I'd checked sooner. Woulda saved me a good deal of time, money, and stress.

If somebody has never dropped his Bike, he/she has never driven! I dropped my Bike 6 weeks ago after 3 years riding so what? Changed brocken footrest and breik lever. If you go to Test your skill it happends, important than you havn't any injuries like brocken legs but Bike can be restored. Drive safe

If you didn't patent the H.C.U., I think I'll make something similar before heading to Utah this summer. I normally don't wear hats but a river trip mandates a hat, thus an H.C.U.
