BENJAMIN FRANKLIN was President under The Articles of Confederation which HELD the Constitutional Convention IN NEW YORK CITY!!! "Everyone" DID NOT AGREE The Articles of Confederation had "failed". Of the 15 States represented, only FOUR thought to REPLACE The Articles. Without the first Ten Amendments (The "Bill of Rights") NO STATE would ratify the new Constitution. Massachusetts came the CLOSEST with 34% of their "Upper House" agreeing.

It's origins lie with Andrew Jackson's Presidential win in 1828, it started off as the Democratic Slaveholding Southern Party, and due to personal ambition only, it transformed itself into today's fraud, changed by its accumulation of riff-raff along the way.
