Think these guys know their way around a fretboard, every technique in the book.

Always loved these two, and it ain't Priest without them.

This guy is a legend .I saw Priest live way back on the Screaming For Vengeance Tour and they were unbelievable .I had already bought their live Unleashed In The East Album and was blown away by their duel guitarist and Rob Halford is a beast .the greatest Heavy Metal Vocalist of all time .this band was so tight live .seriously you couldn't tell the difference between their live record which came out in the mid to late 70s from the 82 tour .most bands sound nothing like their live performances due to all the production and back tracking but not these guys .just check out their proformance from the 83 US Festival and you will never see a better live act period .Quiet Riot preformed at that show along with Ozzy .Triumph .Van Halen. and countless others over the 2 or 3 day concert and Kevin Debrow from QR was asked what he thought about playing in front of 100.000 thousand plus and what he thought of all the other bands there and he said it was great to finally make it and how it was a humbling experience but said Judus Priest blew every other band away even Van Halen .and as egotistical as Kevin was for him to say that speaks volumes .I've probably seen over 100 concerts in my life seeing every singe band you can think of from the 70s and 80s (many bands like Van Halen .Aerosmith .Ted Nugent .Ozzy .Pat Travers .multiple times and Out of them all Judus Priest and The Original Blizzard Of Ozz Band with Randy Rhoads was the 2 that stand out above all .

KK Downing has to learn to play the guitar without using the Floyd Rose lever. KK He has to learn from Glen tipton. My son doesn't know how to play the guitar but when he uses the Floyd Rose people think he is an expert teacher. So Kk stops using the Floyd Rose and learns to play the guitar.

TRULY one of the best metal soloists of his time! KK doesn’t get enough recognition for his own talents. Love both Tipton and Downing of course…but KK has always stood out to me. Glenn is amazingly bluesy too

Strange parallel: With SLAYER, it was also the guitarist with the long blonde hair (Jeff Hanneman) who left the band years before they called it quits.

Glenn and Jane Andrews were limiting K.K's solo input after 1985. That is a big reason he left the band. Glenn is a great player but a bit of a control freak
@wildchild01ok Жыл бұрын
You have no idea why he left. KK always stated he had no problem to have less guitar solos. The real reason is that he didn't want Rob to come back in 2003 and stay towards the musical direction they were doing with Ripper, that's one of the reasons I think why Nostradamus and Angel Of Retribution are odd records. KK was uncomfortable with the whole situation and decided to stay as long as possible before leaving. Why do you think Rob doesn't want him to come back right now as there is a real situation for him to coming back?

You guys are all idiots, KK has always been the one with more riffage. Glenn and his gf manager of the band never gave KK the solo time he very well deserved... but Glenn was in a relationship with her so it is what it is.
