Just beautiful, love how organic it is. Wish the camera person had of gone into the bathroom, so we could have a look. What happen with the planners?

Thank you for talking straight foward, being honest about the ups and downs, the joy and motivation for expressing yourself. In my experience, volunteering in communes of Britain, I've certainly met strong people, also blessed by skills to make it all work, and wise enough with diplomacy and tact. Another type of member in those communes, were those who were burdened by issues, drinking or using drugs. The other members were inclined to turn a blind eye, allowing this person to live a parasitic life, with free food and shelter, while neglecting any form of contribution. Some members felt like "Oh, I feel sorry for him, he's unlucky, you know, we should be kind to him, for he's good at heart". Such an attitude may be typical British, for there's fear of confrontation in many Britons. They believe that alcoholism is a disease, and allow wreckage and violence because that person can't help himself. WHAT! Poppycocks! As a Dutch woman, I'd be clip and clear to such a person, telling him that he needs to leave. And so, communes are also safe havens for weak people, at times, see what I mean? 👋🧙‍♀️

This bunch of hippies don't seem to have much chance, for I expect, watching how many are dressed, and move around, start fighting, anger met with anger, I expect most of them don't have the skill to discuss in a rational way. That's doomed to be a lost case. You can't win, with emotional drama, from the authorities that aren't my friends as well, tbh.

My goodness, smoking during a presentation? What a horrible attitude, and freakish appearances. British women can be awfully anti-social and sluttish, oh my!

I lived there late 90’s. It seems like there’s a lot of the same mixed with a whole pile of new. Was an interesting place that’s for sure. A great foundation for my journey into 9 years of London life that I still miss today.

What an Absolutely stunning home! I be heard people throw around the term “organic” when describing certain design elements, but seeing your home really brought the concept home for me. All of the natural elements built into the structure and design makes it seem alive ❤. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

I feel you :( What Tony suggests in this video is visiting other projects and maybe doing some volunteering. Where are you based? Are there any projects near to you who offer Open Days? A little bit of inspiration can go a long way.

This is how we could save the planet 🌎 not by just talking and hosting big events to save the planet, while at the same time they’re plundering the earth to build mansion only 2 people live in 🙄🤔and skyscrapers that is just out of control , if they truly want to save the earth, stop granting building permit and revelation should be go green, that’s how we start, not by just talking about it

Thanks David for this honest and heartfelt conversation about reading the land. As social beings which you mention, one way of reading is with a group. As you mention, we all have skills, when we prepare a small group to walk and talk to the land, different aspects can quite naturally present themselves to the diverse capacities of a group; particularly a group immersed in and empathetic feeling; sort of herd mentality at work for humans. I have had some wonderful experiences of shared perception with groups where no one is the leader but we are all part of the land organism.. Regards Pete

Post carbon lifestyle lol. Easy for a small community, but not in any way realistic for a developed country with its current infrastructure, unless we go with the safe, carbon free, efficient and energy dense nuclear power option.

While it's true that many regulations make no sense, especially in low impact situations, did it never occur to anyone WHO WAS BUILDING A HOUSE that they should at least consider going to the council and talking to them about this project? It's okay not to meet standards if you live in a barn? That was the cunning plan? What did they think was going to happen when people noticed buildings going up?
