Lower the motor

We use it probably a dozen days each year on our small raft.-original review- We got this motor the other day and tested it out. I don't have anything to compare it to, but it seems good to me. It has all the features advertised - the motor housing is metal. We will see how it performs longer term and I will revise this review if needed. Some initial observations:- Good thrust, moves our boat around really well- It comes with a circuit breaker but no switch - so there's no way to kill the motor other than yanking the connection off the battery. I installed an inline switch.- The mount bracket is plastic and I worry it might break- There are a number of plastic parts that I worry about, but the most important ones are metal or some kind of composite

Great product. I upgraded from a 30lbs minn kota on my canoe and I am more than happy with the purchase. I have been using it all summer long and it hasn’t let me down once.

Is that an old Sears Gamefisher? My '69 10' has a 1951 Minnkota. I put a modern style prop on it and I can't believe the thrust is still has! I also put a variable speed control on it so I can creep. I can't believe how quiet it is. 😁😁😁

I love it and I know I’m about five years late but I just bought a 2018 Hydro blue ram sport, I love it, I wish I had those side storage compartments on your truck. We cool by the way, happy 2023.

We have one, it’s called a “track vac” and it can hook to a lawnmower if you connect it right. It’s the same thing but with a hose. Hope this helps.

all trolling go 5mph, whether its my 14lbs or my 30lbs, higher thrust is just for heavier boats

What style riding do you do most often? The Husky is a little quirky but I never found it hard to find parts for (as long as there's a dealer nearby or you can order online from halls). I've had a bunch of 450's and miss the grunt, but the 300 2 strokes are so forgiving that I never looked back. Pros are its street legal and a blast. Cons are the mixing of fuel if you intend to do long duration rides. I could go about 45miles on a full tank with mixed riding.

I realize that this is a 2017 but i was wondering how you liked the mopar exhaust? I have a 2020 Ram and was considering the mopar performance catback, but is is too loud? I just dont want to spend the money for something really obnoxious. Plus, i live in a residential neighborhood and wonder about the cold starts in the mornings.

Not at all. I actually upgraded to a 2020 Rebel with the same intake/exhaust kit. Its a similar sound as this one. Throatier outside and quieter inside (new truck is so much nicer). Definitely recommend it. On the 2020 when its cold, it actually gargles and cracks between shifts like my old 300cSRT.

Same truck minus the lowered suspension. You can drive with it lowered right or does it automatically rise back up when driving?

Unfortunately no...about 2 weeks after that video was shot, the lower balljoint let go on a highway off ramp.... had her towed to the scrapyard.

That's a bummer they're really easy to work on if you ever get another one you should turn it into a drift middle that's what I'm gonna do with mine your video gave me the idea of how to do the gender reveal for my little one, disconnected the front axles switched on four wheel drive and did a blue burnout on the concrete pad in front of my house

I have been out for about 12 hours of fishing with intermittent use of the trolling motor and it has not bothered the battery even a little. It is also very quiet in operation.*

Excellent, worked best in the side blow mode but the forward blow wasn't terrible. I will say my stihl backpack blower has worked out much better than the push blower for what it's worth. Better control and flexibility and more power.

Hey bud quick question,I have the same exact truck except for the mopar upgrades,I wanted to ask you about the transmission fluid, so mine doesn't have a dip stick to check whether is good or it needs more, but i saw on your dash that it has a temp gauge for the trans fluid, mine when i drive it shows that the temp of transmission fluid its pass the middle line of the temp indicator is that normal ? Like where should that temp be ? Or what's the normal range for that? I bought it with 11k it has 15 now.

Just pulled a 12' Sears boat out of the Dump today. VERY LIGHT. I dragged it down the hill, off the dock and paddled around a bit. Minor leaks at the drain plug as it is wearing too old. And the bow which had carpenter's putty. I peeled it back and resealed it. Practically no leaks. Now I can hunt farther up river where my V14' Alumacraft utility boat can't make it past a beaver dam... too heavy with a 2017 f25 Yammy. Was thinking a trolling motor for the Sears boat. Glad you made a vid of the exact same boat.
