Do you use it because your RV doesn't have a 12-volt fridge, for extra space, or to keep snacks handy while enroute to your destination?

Was a little nervous but after driving Pikes Peak earlier in the same trip, it was a piece of cake. Thank you for sharing and reminding me how great my trip was too. Hello there Janice! So glad we could help you reminisce about your trip to Ouray ❤️ It was a dream destination for us and so surreal to be there. WOW, kudos to you for driving with the teardrop in tow!! 😅👏 Funny, we ended up driving Pikes Peak a few weeks after this drive so stay tuned! You are honoring your father by taking care of him. He is blessed to have you in his life. I (Rhonda) watched my mom do that for both her parents and it was hard on her emotionally and physically, but she wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. We feel very encouraged and blessed to know we are bringing you joy through our videos during this difficult season in your life. Thank you for sharing with us. Well, how did y'all like the "Million Dollar Highway"? 😎 We've been over that highway at least a dozen times traveling to the Grand Junction/Fruita area or coming back to our home in New Mexico from Odgen, UT after visiting Dottie's folks. Dottie had 2 aunts, an uncle and several cousins that lived in the area. We had a big family reunion (hers) there in 1995. The trip over US 550 never gets old. The scenery is breathtaking each and every time. You should stop in Silverton at least once. Yes, it's a bit touristy, but the scenery is worth it. Besides, Rhonda can add a new ornament to her collection. 😉😂 That 13 ft 7 in tunnel marker is the clearance on either side. Big rigs take this highway all the time, and they go right thru without scraping. Y'all would have made it just fine! If y'all are ever back up that way, Colorado SH 145 through Dolores and Rico over Lizardhead Pass to Telluride is another super spectacular trip. It drops you out at Placerville, and you turn right to go to Ridgway. We'll be in Munising next Wednesday but will try to catch your next video. We'll be thinking of y'all while up there enjoying the UP and eating those humongous gringo empanadas (aka Pasties)! Safe travels, and God bless y'all! Bob and Dottie

Are you going to see Pictured Rocks? Sunset cruise maybe? 🤔 😉 Stan drove the rig like a pro and it didn’t seem to bother him one bit. I was a little nervous because it’s just so unforgiving. One little mistake and down you go. 😩 No guardrails is a weird feeling. We did go back and drive it the other direction and back in the truck just to experience it. A dozen times?! You are so right about the views, breathtaking 😍 I imagine it would never get old. We will have to make it back to Silverton for my ornament 😂 Funny you bring up Ridgeway, we actually rode our bikes from the campground in Ouray to Ridgeway! Thanks for the tip about the road to Telluride! Another thing we will save for next time. We had hoped to go with friends when we arrived in Montrose, but just didn’t make it. Another fun video, y'all! We rode the Durango to Silverton train (it was a bucket list thing) in 2014. We had been to Durango many times, watched trains come and go while eating at McDonald's (part of the reason I have hardened arteries 😢) and never rode the train. The only difference when we did it was we took the bus to Silverton then rode train back. That allowed more time to shop and grab lunch before returning to Durango. Grabbing lunch was a bit of a daunting proposition, that's for sure! Too many people and not enough tables. We sure met a lot of nice people! The Durango and Silverton (previously the Denver and Rio Grande Western) has been used in a lot of Hollywood Westerns. Night Passage was one of them. We've never done the hot springs (we never knew about them). That looked really relaxing! Hope y'all had a chance to stop in Silverton on the way out to Ouray. We're waiting for your next video! Y'all have a wonderful trip! We went to Vancouver BC in 1999 to attend a Natural Zeolite Conference. We had a wonderful time. The folks there were really friendly. I went to a pub with some of the meeting participants for some refreshments. Next to us were some locals telling American jokes. They were absolutely hilarious! We were laughing along with them, so they invited us over to join them. We enjoyed their jokes immensely! Imagine their horror when they found out we were Americans! 😂😂 They apologized profusely, but we assured them they were right on the money and that they should send them to Jay Leno. We bought them a round and, after some more humor, parted company friends. They had never met any Americans and were favorably impressed. Vancouver is a beautiful city. Hope y'all can go to Victoria. @@camperbum I just got a solar generator from All Powers. 2500watts and 4000 watt peak weighs about 60lbs. Has a 30amp plug. I already ran my old rig on the VTOMAN. Worked really well. Charged it up all day with solar and ran the trailer with minimal stuff. Ran the heater all night. I don’t think there is anyway I can run the air conditioner with an 2000watt inverter. Even with a slow start. I still have a lot to learn!!

This just popped up in my YT feed so I had to watch. Always great to see the perspective of people from out of town. I've lived in Holland for 27 yrs from Iowa and it's still easy to take it for granted! I trained on those stairs for 6 months for a backpacking trip in the Rocky Mtns! I can attest too that they're climbable in the snow...just a little different! :) Safe travels!

Hi Chad. We really enjoyed Michigan and the Upper Peninsula. Holland was one of our favorite towns. Stan was born in the Netherlands. Those stairs were fun. Last spring we climb the Manitou Incline in Colorado Springs. You would enjoy that! 2,700 stairs straight up. Thank you for joining us! Stan and Rhonda🙏🏼❤️
