You used to name various fronts after the shapes of animals or human body parts, what happened to that? For example, Maksymilianivka; "Maximilian Town" in English. Named after the Russian Duke Nicholas Maximalianovitch, later Prince and soldier of the Crimean War of 1854-56; defender of "Novoroyssia". Bu history aside, you could call the Maksymilianivka front the "Male anatomy front" (there are other better words of course, but none are very "woke"). "At the male anatomy front, the Russians are standing tall and walking erect into the village of Maksymilianivka." LOL. I will say something to the NAF) pro-ukrop crowd, if the people of Maksymilianivka were Ukrainians (they are ethnic Russian there btw), they sure as hell wouldn't name there town after a Russian Duke. Apparently, the ban on Russian names for towns only applies to towns named after Soviet Communists, or maybe Maksymilianivka was just too small to bother forcing them to change the name. Kind of like Kalinina over by Chasov Yar. You should never force people to change the names of their towns; if they want to change the name, its up to them, and the Neo-Nazis should not force them to change it because they hate Communists. Kind of like Leningrad: The Russians actually had a VOTE on that to change it back to St. Petersburg.

japan is changing its naval doctrine for china and drones....they are building all subs and fast frigates packed with drones...they have the heli carriers but they are planning to refit them to be drone carriers packed with drones too...japan knows whats up with the future of navies...you want stealth and fast moving smaller ships and lots and lots of drones...eventually drones will be anti sub anti air anti missile anti everything...jet carriers and destroyers will become more and more obsolete as time goes by...the drone carries will have much longer range and just easier than jets...you dont need pilots or big crews and can make them smaller and faster and have more firepower and eyes...subs are useful cuz of nukes and raiding trade and supply and hitting ports

You're right about the change of doctrine, Wyatt. Everything has changed. A tank has a gun and armor, but is still vulnerable to mines, FPVs and arty. Similarly everything. Its not about technological prowess in a ongoing conflict, it's about saving lives, things first. By the time a brainwave comes along, ten systems are lost, 100 troops. The cope cages, turtles were a good tactical effort, but something more sustainable is needed. Second, the cost. This tactical changes should be el cheapo, while research continues. Also, if they knew NATO would show up one day, they needed to have counteeasures against every last weapon rhey had in their arsenal. Coming from behind the curve wastes time and opportunity. ATACNS, GMRLS for example. But the military has done a good job.

He comments on how US/NATO suuplied precision wepaons used by Ukraine are failing all over, simply because the Russian Federation Forces have figured out rather quickly to counter them . Its a rather interesting watch .
