People have referred to this as a song of spiritual discovery and i very much agree. After 40 years of practice i have some appreciation for the peace i have been able to find for myself, and looking back it is remarkable how much clarity is contained in these lyrics. When we work a jigsaw puzzle we may have the right piece but it's not the right time for it. In the same way i was fortunate enough to feel moved by this song, i have carried it with me my whole life, and over time pieces of the song began to make sense. As my path evolved, so did my understanding of the significance of the words, and they detail a brief, beautiful story of the path to... spiritual clarity i guess, in a pop song from the 70's. i am immensely grateful to Kansas for creating a beautiful song of hope for a deeply lost little boy, who didn't even know he was lost.

Thank you so much for posting this!!! I love the Movie and TV version of this song where he pronounces it, "Maybeh." All of the other videos I've found have the studio version where he pronounces it, "Maybee." I know the latter is the proper pronunciation but I grew up listening to the song with the other. Thanks again!
